At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012 |

This roaming style seems to be an incredibly effective way to play LoL, since even if you have 2v1 you can't deny your own minions, and that sort of removes a crucial part of the effectiveness of lane control. Well, I dont know HOW dig lost bot, but 2v1 should end up with the 1 completely destroyed. No farm, low levels, ect. I think most of the surprise from us is just HOW he dominated 1v2. It should not be possible.
Urgot is notoriously strong early game, but i think its that blue buff on urgot to begin with that sealed the deal.

I really don't know why they didn't ask elementz or oce or some of the CLG.eu guys who are there to cast with them. There were so many Pro's available and not a single game they got one to cast with them.

For the expensive price of 2 wards the roaming style gets completely shut down though. If LS/Alistar don't get those early kills, their absolute best case scenario is taking some jungle farm, and Alistar has to return to lane possibly still lvl 1, maybe lvl 2.
I don't expect them to play that same style in game 2, sure they'll still invade and whatnot but there is a surprise element to it that makes the true roaming more beneficial, whereas if you KNOW roaming is happening(because it's the standard meta) you spend 150-225 gold to completely negate it.

Apparently he had the blue buff off the bat? Clearly runes need to be nerfed or adjusted to scale into the game (less effective at low levels, becomes stronger as game progresses) Like I said, if you can't deny to completely shut a lane down that is 50% of the effectiveness of committing to lane control as opposed to what - Jungle controlling these amazing runes and roam ganking? Latter seems much stronger in my eyes.

Love to watch M5, they play the most entertaining lol by far, and obivously some of the best aswell

I just love how M5 used all resources in their disposal from very early on. How many manaless junglers still take blue for themselves? Support not just idling in bot brush but being active (alistair's strengths being used for once), being eeeeverywhere all the time. Dragon at 7 minutes jesus.

Elementz: The Lee Sin was roaming around so much. And with the wards he could be anywhere by jumping to them. Like that kill on Janna at the bottom. Ocelote: The main problem was M5 was able to 1v2 bottom lane. He was able to beat Janna and Corki both. And with the Lee Sin roam. It makes 4v3 situations and then you can't beat that. Rivington: Why is this roam comp working and why is it risky? Elementz: Lee Sin has so much damage, and with his execute on his Q. And Alistar with all that CC. Lee Sin hits a Q and then you die. That's it. Rivington: In a fight like that it'd be both ways. Dignitas has this, they take out Irelia. But then M5 aces them. Why is that? Ocelote: The damage level of Urgot and the tankiness. And then you have Karthus going in doing lots of damage and with his wall. Urgot complete tanky build. Once you snowball like that you can't win. Rivington: So what picks/bans will we see? Elementz: I say Lee Sin. Alistar was also important but Lee Sin was the defining factor. Rivington: Last time Dignitas has first pick/ban and they took Shyvana. Will they take Lee Sin this time? Ocelote: I think the big thing will be Urgot. He was able to 1v2 bottom lane. Rivington: The big thing was roaming and having pressure around the map. Irelia was also able to farm between turrets. Elementz: There's nothing you can do except call the jungler for help. That's what happened that time with Shyvana. But you need wards. Ali with Oracles was such a problem. And then you have no ward pressure. Rivington: If you're down on cs and you're pressured you call for your team. When do you know when it works Ocelote: When you have a team that aggressive and and Ali flashing over the wall, you need to be so so careful. Sometimes it works, but a lot of the time it doesn't. I think next game will be much more passive. Do you have a degree in transcribing? Just wondering

LOL there's the Urgot ban.

Not that blue buff doesn't need a nerf(it does), but this is more on Dignitas for having a lane that can't punish(Janna/Corki) than m5's strat being OP or anything. Dignitas clearly expected an actual lane of Urgot/Alistar, or they don't know that Corki is terrible at punishing from range(which would be a requirement to pushing an Urgot out and zoning him).

Ok new official record: 252,000. Watching one match. #IEM
Sick. Really great for iem. Need to remember this number, it comes handy in the sc2 topics huehue (sadly tho, so much hate) but really, this match was worth every single viewer, holy shit. This is the game oddone sees wet dreams about, that alistair is the kind of fun chauster would love to have. I think it`s rather stupid to post LoL Streamnumbers in SC2 threads, because it starts nothing but a flamewar. I`m happy for IEM and the LoL community to hit those numbers, but there is no need to provoke the SC2 com.

The viewer numbers are just insane. They quadruple the SC2 numbers. That's absolutely crazy!!!

These casters worked towards the final of the IEM world cup for ages. Would be silly to not let them cast it.

Hmm, I would have gone Shyv/Shen, but w.e.
