Greate thread in general and greate OP by J. CLG and Fnatic won't see each other until the finals assuming those two teams win the semi-finals. And personally, I think they will. SK not having CandyPanda hurts. Curse might pull something amazing though and I don't know enough about that other EU team to say anything. Still, I think CLG vs Fnatic finals is most likely scenario at this point.
Who is SK using as a ringer?

From what Candy said on his stream his flight was today at 8 pm CET. But it will take 20 hours til NY, because he has to wait for 10 h in London. Which means he will be in NY at 4 pm CET, 2 hours before his first game. But then he still has to drive from the airport to the venue.
So maybe if everything goes as "planned", he will arrive there just before his game. So funny. :D
If that is ideal preparation might be doubted though.

Depending on what airport he is coming from, chances are that he won't make it to the first game.
EDIT - Oh hm CET, maybe he could then, any form of public transportation wouldn't get him there on time, but a taxi should.

We got vods for day 1? I only got to see 1 match before spending 3 hours in a car.

Same reason I support Fnatic.

For some reason, at IPL last weekend everybody bans Kog every game and then they come here and leave Kog up every game. Kog is a must ban. :< I'm not sure how I feel about that. Because if you ban Kog, and the other team grabs Cait, you either have to play Vayne vs Cait (which is an uphill battle), or try something with the less-common AD carries, which may not be as reliable, depending on the support picks. With Kog, in the pool, you can expect 1 side to pick Kog, the other to pick Cait, and have a reasonable laning phase, with the team that got Cait trying to pick something aggressive to anti-carry Kog.
If anything, I'm surprised at teams leaving Zilean up AND THEN giving up Kog after the other team already got Zilean. Either ban Zilean, or don't leave Kog in the pool after they FP him. Trying to anti-carry past Zilean is too much of a nightmare.

Granted, I do like Chaox, jiji, and chauster.

TSM, CLG, and SK all have players with huge egos.
edit: Jacobs beat me by a few seconds. I do agree with him though, I am a big fan of Chaox, jiji, and Chauster (has ego but is pretty chill most time, and wants CLG to actually be tryhard when the rest of the team wants to be relaxed). I really like Loci too, even though he's not on CLG anymore.
On the topic of Dignitas, they seem like a very humble, friendly team that wants to succeed, and will put the practice to be the best.

I like CLG purely because I'm a Chauster/jiji fanboy.
With that said, Chauster has an ego he's just not as vocal about it and doesn't rage. I can almost guarantee you that Fnatic, Dignitas, and the more "humble" teams all have egos.

i dont see what makes it a rage inducing game. its not complex enough for anything anyone does to actually shock you and unless you are gearing for it the only randomness in the game (crits) doesnt exist. as far as games go it should be the least rage inducing of all time.
it just has a horrible community x)

Yeah, I honestly don't see how people rage at League of Legends. After playing sc, cs 1.6, and dota, I've had my fair share of raging hard, but LoL seems very relaxing compared to other competitive games.

Competition itself breeds rage. People don't get happy about losing. Some teams are much better at dealing with it though. If you've ever listened to CLG vent when SV and HotshotGG are raging back and forth it's quite the nightmare (also entertaining). When the stars align they're a good team and everything, but when hotshot makes a mistake hell opens and rage demons spill forth. I feel like that is counter productive to a team.
Personally, I'm a Dignitas fan boy because they have so much synergy in their teamfight. A few mistakes were made today, but if you were expecting 100% win rate from Dignitas you're asking far too much. Nobody is perfect I was expecting them to make it out of groups though, but...
That said, I was really impressed with Fnatic today. Most people were writing them off as being the team to go 0-3 today, but that just wasn't the case. I hate the Eu metagame though, but it seems to work for them so ^_^
|
K so they are replaying the games from today on the stream. I especially like how they are replaying the 2 hour delay as well.
