On one hand I like that ADC is strong atm, and on the other it feels like bs because the main reason is all the gimmicky builds that abuse items from other roles.
- Muramana/Hydra/Luden Corki (it's mid but gets an honorable mention)
- Lethality Q max Xayah
- Crown/Luden Kai'Sa so you can 3 shot with W
- Lethality Cait seems to be fairly viable if you can land traps and net.
It all looks like cheese at first, but they scale pretty well (especially that Kai'Sa build).

just watched arcane and wondered if its canon or not? and the show was so good that knowing the characters from league didnt bring any benefit imo.

adc were never weak imo, they just dont have a lot of soloQ agency, the class is for organized play. I personally think that theys should be balanced/designed to be even more useless early but to become the strongest with a margin late, late game should be about the adcs, so there is a clear trade off

I dont think any of those builds would classify the champion as an ADC, they are simply champions with the options to build into a completely different playstyle than ADC. ADCs for me are champions that do the vast majority of their damage from autos.
I think one part of why ADC feel weaker than in the old days is how much weaker enchanters have become unless you OTP an enchanter you are almost better off picking something like Leona or Alistar. Everyone bitch and moan when enchanters are strong, ironically this include the ADCs that should smack their lips and go hell yeah because of how much synergy their is between their kits 50% of an enchanters gold more or less is gold in an ADCs pocket.
Likewise with tanks. The bulkier a frontline the more important and thus impactful the DPS of an ADC are.

Yeah, that's why I called them gimmicky, they are ADC but not really. Still AA based, but the big 'winning' plays are not. I do like the agency it gives ADC though, you can deal damage from far away without caring that your support will leave you out to dry.

i dont understand why riot just doesnt scale down damage in the entire game.
not that difficult to reduce an item giving 80 ap to 60 for example. either that or you tweak the passive stats items have but knowing riot theyre too stupid to do that so just nerf base numbers. at least then you dont have ridiculous shit like people getting 1 shot by 1 skill rather than a full combo.
