GG, FQ, and Optic sold their spots to C9 and CG, which is why C9 had 3 spots and CG had 2. What this means is that teams have 21 days where only they can sign their selected players, after which anyone could sign them as they'd be back to being free agents. Honestly I don't see why you'd sell your spot unless you already have your 'challenger' team set but hey, I also don't know what they sold for | ||

If you could, it makes the exclusive rights gained after the scouting grounds for 21 days kinda pointless. Or much less valuable at least. According to the Tweet linked above there was apparently only a ban on signing for the duration of the scouting grounds and shortly before it. But I guess that also makes sense because you dont want to hinder new talents and prevent them from being signed outside of scouting grounds. So I guess it is supposed an additional, limited thing. Also following the reddit discussion it seems that several players were already "unofficially" on teams and were therefore not drafted. Basically teams being nice to each other. | ||
