The stun on a double bomb is cool and all has some good potential, but it's just too damn hard to actually execute. You basically need to combo it with someone else's CC. It's like having to land two Nami bubbles in a 3 second span for it to actually CC.
The lower mana and cooldown on E are nice, but the slow/haste were also nerfed significantly at rank 1. Since W no longer affects your ult's cooldown, it feels like they want you to max E after Q, but then the cooldown on your rewind is so damn long. His ult is just straight up nerfed (much higher cooldown, lower duration).
Overall, as someone who played a lot of Zilean in season 4, all of this sucks. I personally think the direction was good, and there is potential, but he's not there yet. Needs a few more adjustments. Among other things, I'd like to see him have his 600 range AA back. Variety is good. The thing is a lot of the newer champs like Rek'sai and Sion don't have weaknesses. They can push, sustain or block harass, have cc that isn't countered by tenacity, do damage, don't have mana problems, etc... But they also don't have anything interesting or outstanding other than their ults. The variety is disappearing. Eg. hard cc that lasts for a long time: Rammus, Fiddle, Veigar. It's only a matter of time before Morg's snare is hit. Sion's lifesteal ult was hit, Poppy's ult is on course for removal. I'm hopeful bard will be unique though in ways other than just his ulti. Riot's said they won't hit Dark Binding again because it's a core part of what makes Morgana Morgana.

They apparently don't think Riftwalk is what makes Kass Kass either, even after saying so themselves!

shits really annoying to close against lol It's a good thing people run teleport now though. When the meta was ignite every lane, dealing with split pushing was so much harder. Homeguard and the stronger inhib turrets help too.
Random thought: do you think Singed mid is viable? RoA and standard singed items with 9/21 for the extra tenacity. You try to push waves and threaten to flip the enemy mid with goop, taking minimal harass level 3+ for how much you push the waves. You provide AoE magic damage to your team. I wanna try it in normals.

You're even more likely to get an unfavourable match up in Mid, and it's much harder to just shove mid when most champs there have plenty of wave clear.

I remember a game where I had to go top as Malzahar. Something happened in champ select. I don't remember what. It was horrible. I couldn't both harass him early and push the wave and lost so much cs under tower. I feel like if I were Renekton, Kayle, or Jayce it'd have gone better. That game was my motivation.

i would probably ad malzahar against singed
i mean then again i ad malzahar against most melee matchups top

Man, catching up on the LCK games really makes me even more annoyed that Veigar was destroyed. So sad...

You could just max Q vs singed and clear everything while still getting decent harass if you build athenes.

most Malzahars i've seen go roa Oo

what are the chances of league ever getting a voice chat?
I stopped using the in game chat about 2 years ago and even tried using curse voice but almost nobody uses it. This game could really use voice chat.

Right when replays come out
