To be fair, I like that you have watch mana more closely than you used to. I just hate resourceless shit. There is nothing more annoying laning vs Zed when you're out of mana and he can chuck Shurikens to farm all day.

It's probably not actually a good idea, but I like using early homeguards as a pseudo mana item in laning these days. I don't play mid much, which I suppose is what the discussion was focused around, but I find it safer and more useful than having to buy a vamp scepter for AD in a losing lane (being pushed out is less punishing, you can more easily afford to farm with mana, and potentially farm other lanes more easily), and it just feels good on supports in general (burn less time warding, can gank mid more easily, lane mana is less important).
EDIT: although I apparently ward more than 93% of players, and I back more frequently than most other supports at my level to refill my SS, so that's probably a sub-optimal style thing.

Yea so you are losing lane as an ad so you get boots 2 and homeguard.Don't really have to test it to tell you it is stupid.

To be fair, in most of the games I played in the last seasons(all gold or plat) every midlaner just got blue and spammed the shit out of his manabar anyways. I came back after a year or so and everyone buys morello and barely asks for blue anymore.
I do enjoy the blue on my junglers.

The best part is when you go "hey mid, blue." and they don't come. They have 0 right to complain later about not getting them.

Yeah but Morellos with blue is just crazy. It enables roaming because you can push as fast as you want and then you have some downtime to at least threaten a gank top or bot. I like blue on my junglers as well but having your mid do some ganks for you is usually better than having a blue buff. Just my opinion (bronze).

More often than not it happens when they've just pushed their lane and sat with their thumb up their ass. Not to mention that if they came it's be 1 spells and they've back on their way. It isn't like they actually need to take the time to weaken it and sit there in stop command while it wails on them.

I agree, it's just that in a lot of games they miss all their skillshots, then when the minion wave is gone they keep trying to hit their skillshots because they have blue anyways.
