What? Like, what bureaucracy is like "we decide to patch to patch XX instead of XX+1"? Like, they are updating to 4.3 next week...but 4.4 already exists. Why not just push the different button? Its super confusing and really bad for their ability to innovate.

I assume its Chinese bureaucracy, not Riot bureaucracy. LoL is software that connects to the internet. It might be possible to have a mod to LOL that lets you show news content in place of the web content on the UI. LOL has a chat client, maybe you could use it to chat with dissidents or foreign journalists. Riot has probably reached some accommodation with China to ensure that none of that happens, but I bet China still insists on checking each release thoroughly just to be sure. And that adds time to each release.
Oh god that commercial on Gosu's stream and further up this page was so cringey. I don't think it's a good idea to watch it. Like worse than that time some lol tournament had cosplayers dance on stage.
Has anyone compiled a recommended games list for LCS? My res doesn't have internet so I've been downloading vods while I'm at school but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to find the polls in the LCS threads

I know they actually do release that in a fairly consistent pace too.
I believe many people aren't doing polls for the LR threads(for the most part) since people very rarely use them. Even then, the polls aren't so great.
The basic idea is:
1.) If you are a fan of either of the teams playing, watch them. Otherwise skip it. 2.) Find a thread like the LWIL above which recommends random games due to their entertainment, and you are basically covered for most leagues. 3.) Watch PTL for the rest since it's still a decent show which might keep you up-to-date on things + Show Spoiler +

I remember the 55+ minutes game last NA split where I added a "only the last 20 minutes" to the poll because it had a big lull of ~25 minutes in the middle where literally nothing happened into clowning, then the following game Dignitas stomped in 19 minutes. Obligatory "only the first 20 minutes" option in the poll, getting all the votes. ... I swear it's a true story. Dignitas used to win some games. A long, long time ago. Longer now than it seems, in a place that perhaps you've seen in your dreams.
