Seems like it. Last year I think I went 6-4, and I dropped an entire division and a half. This year I went 5-5 and I'm Plat 2 (so down 3 notches), which is about as high as I'd reasonably expect without going 10-0. Saves me from having to grind up a bunch I guess. I'm okay with that.

Question. I like Morgana as a support, the 20% cdr thing at level 1 is pretty fun. I dig the easy stacks from Spellthief's, but I really hate Frost Queen's Claim (too hard, and morg has good itemization options as a support). I've seen the anti-Frostfang arguments and they seem legit enough, given that 500 gold for a couple mana pots and superior gold gen / stack damage is questionable.
The upgraded stacks are pretty good on Morgana specifically, though, giving W +15 damage and gold every 30 seconds. If I'm not planning to build FQC, do you think I should build Frostfang for laning (on Morgana specifically), or just leave it as Spellthief's and just replace it lategame?

Frostfang worth building if the lane phase is prolonged, otherwise you might be better off getting earlier sightstone and pink ward control.

I really like the T2 item, but I think rushing sightstone is a must on pretty much any support.

Super low base AS + poor AS/level + subpar range + meh damage at said range + useless passive against frontloaded burst... what do you expect? He's bad after level ~12 if he isn't significantly ahead.

Also, everything graves can do in lane sivir can do, everything graves can do in team play sivir can do better. combine that with the fact that there are no korean teams really centered around how good their AD player is to make graves shine as a pick, its clear to see why graves is not respected.

Graves does better in a burst AoE combo to blow-up someone as soon as the fight starts anyway, you don't pick that if your team is centered around the AD, to the contrary.

So I was checking out the LCS stream and just now found out TeamLiquid has a League team. I squeeled like a school girl. It's great to see TL in LoL! Sorry if this is off-topic.

like some teams rely on their support to make the plays some the mid, some the jungler, some the top. each of those means a slightly varied champion pool for that role, even though some or even most of the strategies involved don't center around that role. like teams that rely on their support are a prime example. a support going on thresh to make plays to get ahead doesn't mean you develop a strategy centered around thresh.

Gnar orianna Rengar Sivir would do significantly better than a graves comp.

Ok, I found a jungler that can carry.
Rek'Sai. If she somehow escapes the bans try as hard as you can to get her, and if you somehow get more than one person who can also deliver hard CC (Nami bubble/wave, Annie stun) you layer it and just can melt even the tankiest of foes.
