In any case if he is able to bring more structure to their practise that is already valuable. You think? Leviathan basically transformed [A] from this TSM-esque team "we're cool laners and have cool mechanics, but objectives ain't our thing to do" into very intelligent team. And i don't think that it's coincidence that after Leviathan left, Alliance comes to IEM and basically showcases TSM again. And compLexity, jokes aside, was probably second best strategic team in NA after C9/CLG in Spring. And I don't think that it's Kubz's achievement either.

Of course they learned to play more solidly after practising together for so long. But in the end their strategy was just abut not making mistakes and hoping the opponent does some. Otherwise they were screwed because there was nothing proactive or surprising about their plays. The strats or picks they did at worlds were in some cases straight up bad. I assume this was the reason why they did not want to work with him anymore. Although my main problem with him was always how delusional he sounds in some statements.

Also, I'd much rather have a coach who believes you can defeat anyone than a coach who is just going to accept losing to Korean/Chinese teams. Alliance did manage to perfect-game NaJin, they weren't consistent at all but they could compete. I am curious why Alliance changed to a new coach though, you'd think there's a reason.

Diamond/Edward will be flying every week. On January 14 2015 06:23 oo_Wonderful_oo wrote: You think? In the middle of split they were really smart team with clear plan every game with good pick/ban and rotations, but with every week they were becoming worst. At Worlds their tactical lvl was terrible again and rely on good laning phase to win games. Also I have 0 faith in his ability to control ppl in the team, look at whole shit with Tabzz and how he wasn't practining at all before Worlds. Agree with Redox 100%.

But if he is bringing something to get better and help the team to improve, he is more that welcome.

Even if he played soloQ he put zero effort into it. Trolled with random champions in D3 or at most hat some fun with Lee Sin. So his champion pool stayed very small and his overall play deteriorated. Although this is not only the coaches fault of course. Btw it seems like Shook (or someone else) recognized this and Shook is now playing much more serious in soloQ, practises relevant champions and ranked up a lot.

Agree, you could see bad habits from soloq in his play in LCS. If you compare his performance in s4 to s3, he was a lot more calculated/smart in s3. He started climbing ladder, because he wanted Challenger before season ends or something.
