He's bored as fuck at the hospital and wants something to do, why not play some games with his friends? It's not harmful or impactful on his recovery(unless he plays so much that it impairs his rest, but the nurses won't allow that most likely). | ||

Yeah I dont see why its an addiction lol, I'd be so happy to be able to play LoL in the hospital rather than watch reruns of soap operas for hours and hours. Also, hes literally making money while hospitalized, not many people can say they can do that | ||

In one sense, yea, as you're way more likely to die from getting hit by a car than you are from this given how the combined mortality and incidence rate becomes negligible, but for those who at risk for repeats, it is a plenty serious enough condition that will still kill you if you are an idiot about it. My friend has it and ran cross-country in high school, but was knocked out of competition for a year when it came up, and got fucked again when he did a his 2nd or 3rd college marathon.
