Is TF viable on him? Also wriggles or Spirit Stone? feral flare or bust currently! In all honesty, as long as your champ auto attacks with a steroid (which voli does) nothing beats feral flare as your single damage item. On Voli being very tanky is important, so wiggles/feral flare as your sole damage item works very well.

But is flare better then golems -> botrk? I guess that would leave him squishy for ages unless you went something like golems -> cutlass -> MR/AR builder -> botrk -> finish MR/AR item @Justiceknight - i play leona alot so ive done that on a fair few occasions, any decent leona player would tell you to do what you can and get out as soon as it looks risky for you. (So basically, if you're in any danger of getting caught when we're already screwed, just run for the hills) because sometimes you can save the support by pressuring from afar without going all-in. E: Also, any decent leona player wouldnt do that, but shit happens :<

I tend to be willing to trust him and commit fully the first time if he's been playing reasonably up til that point, and if we just both die stupidly I wont follow him again that game unless I can see it going well. I'm not very good at judging when a leona/x lane can all in, and often get surprised by how well it works, so I like to give my leona the benefit of the doubt at least once.

I'd say auto the enemy while saving your gapcloser if you have one, so you can get out easily If the enemies both go hard on Leo just keep auto'ing the ADC, otherwise also just try to pressure them in order for them to stop hitting Leo.

It sounds kind of facetious, but it's really the best way to play the lane. Ideally you should be positioned such that you can follow up without blowing unnecessary mana and cooldowns if he goes. If you can't do this safely, you probably picked yourself a pretty bad lane mismatch.
