I have a friend who was in plat 4 get placed into silver. He lost some placement games to other people who were in plat last season. Like look at this: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/48344783 here's my lolking, plat 1, went 5-5 in placements, look at how far down i went (gold4lol) and now: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/23840715 goes 6-4, gets plat 2 or my friend: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/19789232 goes 3-7, gets gold 4 from plat 3 im not even gonna mention saintvicious or nintendudex or vman who all went from diamond 1 to gold. It just makes no sense. I just want to know the fucking formula they use to determine this so I can know next season what to do (or not to do) in my placements. | ||

That is quite strange, I was plat 2 went 6-4 and got gold 2 but I'm gaining like +25 per win so it's ok but I see your concern | ||

The problem isn't climbing out, the problem is why it seems so random and why other people get placed way way higher than others. | ||

The only thing he is good at is creating random picks... provided the opponents are dumb enough. | ||

You're SUPPOSED to be placed in a lower league. Otherwise it's not a reset. From what I've seen, you should be placed around an entire league lower than where your mmr ended up last season. Examples: if you were mid-high gold you should now be in silver. Low gold, then high bronze or low silver. If you were low plat, you should be in high silver~low/mid gold. High plat should place you in high gold~low plat. Low Diamond should land you in low~mid plat. High diamond+ should land you in mid~high plat. Plat 1 is the highest you can place into so everything else is curved based on that. Of course, this is all dependent on how you do in placements. | ||
