LOD looking really good, also as far Quas goes, he was picked up due to his skills in amateur league, not solo queue. I'm also surprised players like TrickZ get picked up from CLG, despite being a complete unknown. I've like only seen him once in pro-player streams. When was the last time someone on established NA team picked up solo queue talent? LiNK? | ||

Looking at the top players in the Challenger scene there are a bunch of old players on teams like CoL, TBD, Crs A, NiD. Then there is Coast, Velocity and Curse ofc. As a solo queue team that is up and coming I think GGLA is a good example of a 1 trick pony mid, soloqueue or very little competitive experience botlane and jungle. Yazuki being the odd one, as a relatively experienced player, and they are doing okay atm. I think they could be doing better than they are atm. And I did not mean there was just C9 and Quas, those were examples of people who did make it (specially Quas) through solo Q pick. Although C9 was among the Challenger teams of old players rather than solo queue pick ups. I apologize if it came off as narrowminded, but we tried a lot of people for our top lane tryouts and still ended up on someone who already falls in the old player category. The other tryouts simply werent good enough, didnt have the drive or work ethic etc. | ||

Watch NACL (I feel so alone commenting on the TL threads D: ); there's talent, but it needs development. Basically, Riot needs to help set up and expand the amateur/semi-pro scene, so things like NACL or the upcoming Beverage Company Challenger Circuit should help in that department. That, or do what Crs does and create an amateur farmer team (like former Dig Academy, before overwhelming toxicity). | ||
