Faker said he had some picks prepared for the finals but didn't get to use them. Could have been lissandra for ahri but ahri didn't get picked once.

Right now I feel like Diana wins against a lot of popular mids. You can shit on Fizz, kill Zed, and if you get a kill on Ahri you can snowball from there. I usually ban Ori and let them pick their poison.

Vlad does well against Zed and Ahri.
Fizz otoh pretty much wrecks him. Too much all in too early.

I can understand vs Zed how Vlad can just pool after Zed ults to slow Zed and prevent him from amplifying any damage on him.
How does Vlad counter Ahri though? Does he just pool every time she tries to land a charm?
And what if Ahri just tries to free farm against Vlad? Ahri can probably do it but Zed would need to come into melee range to get every CS.
A better counter to Ahri would be someone that can shut her down the way Jax shuts down Zed/Rengar top.

From my experience, the only reason anyone picks Blitz in soloQ is to help me secure CS, because they sure as fuck don't land those hooks on champions.

That's true. Energy champions tend to be strongest during laning phase when mana is a big constraint.

When I play blitz I don't even land that many hooks but you put on so much lane pressure by running up in their faces, the potential of hook puts the fear of god into most bot lanes from my experience.

I think it's cuz Zed can't stop her ult channel, and she can reduce Zed's damage output if she shunpo's at the correct time.
The easier way to deal with zed, is to just ban him.

When Kat ults she also becomes a stationary target allowing Zed to do whatever he wants and in that case I would imagine that a Zed can 100 to 0 her while Kat cannot but her ult is a significantly shorter CD so just popping it to push him out of lane/chunk him hard then roaming seems viable and she naturally builds tanky [Zhonyas, Hauting, etc] and can push/roam just as well as he can.
