I think mana management comes to mind for me. Mana items aren't ideal on him and frankly, players are not the greatest at using his management properly. I think few pros or high level players have the patience to only use spears on odd numbers levels for one

He can't 2v1, easily ganked, and can't manmode jungle like Aatrox due to the lack of a revive passive. Without being a lane bully panth isn't that good imo

Dig picked Pantheon late in NA LCS against CLG. I think it's a matter of a plethora of assassin's in mid pushing down his less utility, putting him on the same tier as Talon. Decent replacements, but none of the starters are getting taken off the field.

I can also confirm this. She works really well with bursty ADCs like Graves and nowadays Corki. All in at level 6 with your ult and you'll virtually guarantee a kill.
I disagree that she falls off big time though. I think she has enough CC to maintain her usefulness. But you'll be missing the damage big time if your behind and just become slightly annoying.
She works a bit like a worse Zyra I've found. She has pretty good disengage with the stun and knockback. The difference of course is Zyra has plants and a giant CC ult. I think she works fine bot, but you could just play Zyra.

I'm trying to remember a game in LPL Spring where I saw that... and I only remember it was against WE because there were so many missed Orianna Shockwaves from Misaya.
For sure this was during the age of cheap red elixir because he really manned up. Jungle Pantheon with red elixir start.

Aatrox is relevant with little farm, has better jungle clear (more AoE), has a revive passive, and can build tanky and still deal good damage. Panth can't do any of that imo.
If Panth's E did max damage to everything then maaaybe he could be picked as a competitive jungler.
Just my thoughts on it having played some jungle panth.
