Sure, part of the reason Korea is successful in League is because of Brood War but that doesn't mean the history of BW is very relevant to the average League fan. | ||

Maybe, but are people who like Faker and are 'fans' of SKT now that they've won worlds truly fans? If SKT (or Faker) is just decent in Spring/Summer like Frost was how many of those 'fans' are going to remain fans? Sure it'd be nice if they researched SKT's history but I don't think anyone should expect them to do that. I don't know the ins and outs of the Atlanta Braves history but I've been a fan since I was a kid. | ||

I mean this is the great thing about it, isn't it? So many new people are getting into eSports, especially in the West, to levels not really seen before. You can't expect these guys to have a knowledge of eSports history, even if it's as important as BW. | ||
