- I fiddled around with Volibear support yesterday night after a champion select missunderstanding with my boy Hecarim, and I found it to be really strong in lane. One shot wonder or is it legit?
- How do you build Jungle Eve? I tend to go for Sorc Boots > Jungle AP stone > Deathfire > Abyssal, but it's pretty out of meta compared to the Golem > Aegis usual jungler shit. Should I keep doing that ?

volibear: one shot wonder. a lot of bruisers can feel strong as a support in low level play because of their ability to win extended trades in lane against traditional double lanes, but what makes a support a support is the ability to provide significant utility with minimal income. voli only has his flip and needs defensive investment to be able to use it safely

I mean volibear Q gets shut down pretty hard by Nami, Thresh, Lulu, Janna, and Fiddle, you might be able to win lane vs Sona but like all kill lanes vs. Sona there is a limited window to establish a lead before her heal + harass just wins it.

Voli's passive doesn't scale with health any more than it scales with armor/mr. EHP is EHP.
He's so useless out of lane; even with his slow in lane, it requires him to be in melee range for its usage. Might as well play Alistar, if you want to go ham in lane.

I've always felt that the best way to deal with cheese for an odd lane matchup that you are not familiar with is just to play really safe. Lose now, win later.

I think you overestimate Volibear's reliance on items, he isn't a good support, but he could get by on a snoopeh salary if he had to.
I honestly feel like the bigger problem(if you had to entertain the idea) of the two is he has like no good lane match ups vs popular picks atm.

Lizard Spirit's AD and Eve's ratios let her deal almost as much damage from Q and E than she'd get with Wraith Spirit's AP, and she gets the hp5 and AD (clears faster with autos and E's steroid so less HP lost) which more than make up for the spellvamp which she only applies in AoE anyway, imo. And even after the nerfs, the burn is still decent dps.
I'd say Golem Spirit if you really need to build tanky, but if you can afford damage shoot for Lizard Spirit.
