It was kinda obvious that Olaf was becoming a problem case due to his prevalence in pick/ban at pretty much every single tournament game. Reapered at IEM says hello Yeah but reddit said...!
Seriously though, Olaf has been dumb for a long time.

Olaf was super strong, however his nerfs were maybe a bit much. Particularly the Q nerf. Still think he is strong, but it hurt his jungling (ganks) a lot, which is lame because he is a strong deterrent to the "3 shredders".

Also, gotta blame the rest of TSM save Dyrus for the terrible S2 championships performance. Like, all of his traditional champs were played (very well) by other players: Singed, Jax, etc but TSM was like "Herp derp Darius, Dyrus don't play or practice who you like and are actually good with".

Vayne really needed buffs...?
Edit: not to say she needs nerfs, but she really didn't feel like she was in a bad place and needed to have less mana worries.

Well, he did actually play Darius quite a bit leading up to the championships. Also, he doesn't play Jax as much anymore, he didn't like the remake.

I hate when they buff hyper carries because it can force such boring playstyle when playing protect the x. I'd much rather a team picks an Urgot or Caitlyn and goes nuts early/mid game. It makes the game much more exciting to me.

Late game protect the X comps might be a little bit more boring than early aggression comps, but they're still important to the game design.
If there's no danger coming from real late game champion picks, then champions who are super good early and poor late become unbalanced. Gotta be careful with that stuff.
All in all I really like what they've done for ADC's in season 3 so far. It seems like they've really shaken things up from League of Ezreal.

hahaha I love oddone.
Hm, really weird to see oddone blamed for their S2 finals. From what I remember, he was one of their good points while Chaox and Regi were too inconsistent to really carry. It always seemed to me that Oddone is held back a lot by Regi's champion picks. Not to mention that oddone's role turned out to be mid babysit for Regi for season 2.
Same for Dyrus. There was a certain point that Dyrus was definitely one of the best top laners with a lot of versatility in his champion picks. Don't understand these comments being made. Pretty confused here.

Disagree completely. Hypercarries are always my favorite games, unless its on CLG EU because then they have underfarmed Kog Maw. The real reason I really enjoy later game comps is they are more sustained-damage reliant, which I prefer to burst damage comps, which produce much more binary teamfights and less interesting ones. Also, from a spectators POV, when you can see through the fog of war, things like lvl 1 invades, 3v1 towerdives, baits, etc are not nearly as interesting and exciting as well executed full-on fights.
Edit: That is why I love watching games with Ashe, because the kiting/using of ult is very intriguing and you aren't sure of the value of either prior to the fight (look at that guy jungling, oh he stepped on a ward...Arrow, invaded, dead).

I just didn't think it was particularly professional of them to list Voyboy stomping at the LCS qualifiers as a reason for nerfing him. He'd been at the top of the pile for a while, and something needed to be done but a fed olaf getting a double kill on 2 underfed champions with zero mobility and limited kiting potential wasn't a particularly good way of explaining why.

they probably just used it cause it was an obvious example of how olaf was overly ridiculous.

Hello guys I've decided to stop playing bot lane and go mid.Could you recommend me some good characters?Currently I play pretty much only lux xD.Guess I can play an ok kayle/ori/kart but they seem to have fallen out of favour lately. Also I've played a few games with viktor and he is fun but seems bad in current meta.
Also it is so fucking annoying how after a turret goes down the laner feels obligated to come mid and push.....
|
I'd say Viktor 'cause we're TL but burst mages aren't all the craze with the s3 itemisation, even without the current meta. :/ Orianna is an all-around awesome, safe and always useful pick.

Kayle is still straight up broken, so if you just want to win play her.

Dyrus's triforce jayce probably did lose them one of the games. He did well enough top but come team fight time he did nothing because triforce is/was bad on jayce. And it's not like he didn't have the opportunity to see what optimal jayce builds should be since the Asian regionals showed it off quite well

Random Janna buff on PBE. Yay.

Me: "Gonna main Kayle all S2. Kayle is weak. Can not lane well. I think I understand this game."
Everyone else: "OMG Kayle so strong."
Me: "I don't understand this game anymore."

He played Jayce the second game and did go triforce, which is really surprising considering he had played quite a bit of Jayce before on stream and never built the item.
