I like Sion. I usually go bruiser since AD's not my style, and while AP is strong, if the enemy team does not lose to you mid game then your shield becomes easier to break as the game progresses. I hate that feeling of uselessness.
I feel like he doesn't get many kills or lifesteal because he's too easy to kite. Anyone who he can beat in a 1v1 fist fight won't fist fight him. Really good ganks relative to other junglers pre 6 and unbeatable sustain post 6. He can be an abusive top laner but I think that's usually because I'm vs bads.
He has mana problems and has a hard time getting kills. He can push lanes too hard in top lane.
I think AP Sion is best Sion in solo queue but haven't tried AD. It just relies on being abusive. Bruiser Sion will lead to consistent 0-6 KDAs.

Yeah I've been playing Elise mid for a while and I've done way way better than with any other mid I've tried lately (though I don't have any one I'm particularly good with).
I've zoned so many people just by repeatedly doing QRQ then pulling back; Elise's Q seems brutally strong for a long-range non-skillshot spell with such a low cooldown (and mana cost). It really does feel a bit like pre-nerf Jayce in playstyle.
Once you're ahead in lane and they can't afford to trade you can just slowly heal up with spider-form W.
The only issue I've had was with a team that had double abyssal sceptre and people generally being tanky with MR.

I'm kind of overwhelmed by all the new changes headed our way in League in 2 weeks. Is there any links that I can read to just adequately know what changes I have to adapt to in the next patch? Or anyone willing to tell me the list of most important changes? For example the new item that every jungler needs to buy etc.

AD Sion is weak in lane, monster late game once you have items. Getting from early to late without crippling your team is difficult.
AP Sion is strong throughout the game but in an organized 5s game, it's difficult getting your shield to blow up on an optimal # of enemies without them focus firing you down. If they break down your shield before you get it off, you do jackshit in a team fight.
AP Sion is still relatively strong in solo q imo. People have just move on away from it. Any champion that has insane farming potential compared to his opponent will always be strong in solo q.

Kha'Zix is probably one of the better bruisers for mid atm imo. Such silly burst at every stage of the game.
