The qol buff (picking up things faster) may help this some, but I'm not convinced it's enough. i solved that problem in lane in two ways: 1- using a picked up minion to zone them. just pick one up and walk towards them. now they're scared to cs. well, they can hit you back but most people are too scared to do that to syndra for some reason. if you have all 3 skills, you can combo to harass, throwing scatter if you think you can hit it. 2- walking towards them first and then picking up a minion behind you. this is especially good if you know jungler timings and you know how to fake out that you have a jungler waiting for them.
if you're trying to set up a stun with orbs on the floor, it's fine. use it as a zoning mechanism first. they don't want to get hit by the stun so they have to maneuver around it, but they might miss cs while doing so. you have lots of simple tricks like that to use.
i really don't get why no one's playing her. i have yet to figure that one out.

Maybe you're right. I think it's just a matter of time before she becomes at LEAST a specialized champ that a couple of people play well (akin to Soniv and Viktor)

No more garena now... Alex Ich and Krepo are streaming but both are waiting around in 10 minute (and counting) queues.

So, hypothetical situation: suppose at S3 or S4 finals, instead of having 2 western teams in Ro4, we have no Western teams in Ro4 or possibly even Ro8? I know this was like 50 pages ago but, why can't people attach themselves to asians how they would north americans? I'm a massive Jaedong and Flash fan. Godly asian robots that I care about. Maybe LoL just needs more figurehead out-and-out best players in the world?

So... I have a question. What is Elise rappelling from? Does SR have a ceiling or something?

Would be pretty painful for Pantheon if SR had a ceiling
Just assume it's magic.

That said, I think Maknoon is the perfect example of a foreign player that has gained a lot of popularity in NA. He's really good and really charismatic, a good combo to gain followers.

Well...they're not robots. They just speak a different language and have a different culture, which makes it harder for westerners to connect with. No one's really at fault here. It's probably equally weird for a Chinese/Korean fan to turn on a stream here and listen to some guy rage in solo queue all day. (I'm Chinese American - I can understand most of the Chinese/Taiwanese streams, and also the Garena stream, and find those pretty entertaining.)
The difference between BW and league is that BW is all about individual play, while league is suppressing egos for the greater team, making it harder to connect to players unless you watch them solo queue.

Probably the same invisible flat surface that Spider Man swings from, cuz there sure aren't any skyscraper surfaces that are straight above him

Quoting for use of the world rappelling. real strong

What's the general opinion of Elise so far? I haven't had many chances to lane against her so I'm still slightly in the dark... I generally feel that the sort of AP-bruiser type champion generally doesnt sync that well with teams unless they'r either incredibly tanky or incredibly bursty and mobile (lets say Cho'gath and Diana as examples), so when she came out I just thought... well that's never going to work. But how are people's experiences with her so far?
I'm seriously doubting what champ to buy next ^^ It'll probably be a mid, could be Syndra, could be Elise (for top/jungle use aswell I spose), otherwise it'll probably be something like Brand. I've already got ~~75 champions so I don't actually need more, it'd just be for fun/versatility. Any good ideas? ^^

From my experience elise sucks after early game and I never see her do much.

I watched the TPA vs AZF finals even though I don't really like AZF (esp. after that screenwatching scandal) and I hadn't really heard of TPA since before the finals, and didn't really consider them contenders until they beat M5 (I did not watch TPA vs M5). But just watching some stuff about TPA, getting to know the players better, and seeing their godly impressive play, I grew to like them a lot in the short time frame of the S2 worlds, and because of that I was actively rooting for them in the finals.
I mean, if CLG.na are in the tournament I'm going to root for them, but once they're out I don't necessarily just stop watching, generally I decide who the next team to root for will be. I know that some people are extremely dedicated fans of one team but plenty of other people have no problem rooting for multiple teams in some kind of hierarchical order or become new fans of a team halfway through a tournament.

I've seen one good AP mid Elise so far. Landed all her combos and escaped/chased like a boss with Rappel. Watching that game gave me the impression that she has the potential to be decent.
Feels like Zyra on release. It'll just take a while for people to figure her out.
No idea about Jungle Zyra.

Yeah, I know. Was just giving you a hard time.

Elise is a bit weird. I've played vs her and had her do nothing, but one game she was pretty much two-shotting me -.-;; She had the weirdest shit too, used a rageblade and whatnot.

Zyra is too mana efficient compared to other supports.

Not player bashing, but isn't Xmithie quite bad for pro level? He feels like a Lapaka to me, focuses on certain champions, which he can play proficiently, but has bad overall mechanics. I know the NA scene is weak but there's probably better junglers, right?
