He streams lessons which he charges insane ammounts for while playing on accounts which he Elo boosted for money while running ads infront of thousands of viewers and gets the occasional thousand dollar donation from some rich fan. He's also gained his popularity by leeching off of Destiny viewers. It's actually extremely impressive but I can't see why people could legitametly be fans of him. When he first started streaming his stream had entertainment value due to him being one of those really angry kids that raged about the most pointless shit and his Karthus was really good but now everything he does is motivated by money and people eat that shit up. His voice is cool though, I'll give him that.

Funny,l can stand everything that was said about him above, but I just can't get over his voice.

Phantomlord yelling profanity at the top of his voice is really entertaining :3
Also, if he faked that crying when he received the big $$$ donations, he's either a great actor or a psychopath. It really seemed like he was speaking from his heart. Maybe I'm naive, but I don't think he does it all for the money.

I'm not saying the donation fiasco was some huge set up and obviously people are allowed to do as they please with their money. And there is nothing wrong with making money while playing this game but literally everything he does is motivated by income. Like you NEVER see him on his main anymore. Why? Because he can't charge for lessons and Elo jobs while doing so. Again, great for him that he's found such sucess but I'm just appauled that so many people watch him.

So, when do you stream Shake ?

I assume this is a really stupid question but Phantoml0rd != Forellenlord, is that right?
|
yep PL is a popular streamer from NA and F-Lord is our german 3k elo hero.

Forellenlord is also a good player.

Yeah, Forellenlord is pretty good, he carried me once. For 6 elo, seriously. What a stingy guy.

Whats the best combination between magic resist blues? I have only used flat mr so far but I've seen several pros now use a combination between flat and scaling mr blues.

i have one adc page with flat and one with scaling, but i always use the one with scaling against any lane because i think more mres in lategame = better haha. i suck

AD/Junglers usually use scaling MR blues as they give more MR near early midgame/endgame. They are the only 2 lanes that generally don't have to deal with magic damage in lane. Top (situational) and mid get flat MR runes as it allows them to trade with their opponents in lane much more easily (for top it depends on matchup ofc)

Speaking of Forellenlord, he was owning as Leona mid yesterday. This was quite amazing. And he builds Athene's on almost every champ that uses mana. lol

For what it's worth, he said when Season 3 roles around he's going to focus on playing his main and getting back into the competitive scene. Also, when you say Elo jobs, are you referring to the lessons he gives, or actual Elo jobs? I always thought he was just on various smurfs so he could be on a similar level to the people he's teaching, I don't see that being an Elo job. Honestly the lessons are one of the only things I like about him. I don't find him interesting to watch, but when people pay he does do a good job of trying to make them better players.
Edit: I see now that you mentioned them as separate things. I guess I don't see the problem with him doing what he does for money. Aside from the Elo jobs, he's found a legitimate way to make a living off of LoL. People like him, I feel like being appalled is being a bit harsh. Although I don't know his history so feel free to school me about why I'm wrong.

Most barons tend to come off a won teamfight anyway.
The marginal security from a second smite on your team seems like a laughable reason to take it. I think that the extra smite in bot lane can be very valuable in securing dragon though. Seeing how passive most games are these days, that dragon gold can be pretty important. (plus, an extra 10 gp (plus minion) every minute is kind of significant to a support). But srsly, the only support I'd ever take smite on is Blitz. It synergizes with him so well. How often does dragon actually come down to a mid fight smite-off...like never, especially as people get better and learn to recognize when they can take and contest dragon, and when they need to gtfo. I often see people trying to sneak a dragon when the enemy jungler is top... That doesn't necessarily mean you can contest it though. The jungler being top often means it's an uneven fight, and they can just turn and kill you if you try to smite it.
Uh, no.
If their jungler is top, then that means you have your bot lane + possibly your mid and jungler vs. their bot lane and possibly mid. Unless you're getting shit on, you can take Dragon easily and that can counteract/ mitigate the effect of a successful gank (at least goldwise). If the top gank fails, you just get more ahead. Having one/two smites makes it so you can take it before their jungler gets back ez.

I'm pretty sure that those "smurfs" of his he uses for lessons also get elo jobs in the process, which is probably what shake was getting at.
I mean, if you already use low accounts to do lessons, why not make an extra buck or two using accounts of baddies that want them skins/bragging rights?
I don't like him as a person (or a player), but you can't blame him for making money like this, it's a pretty smart combination imo.
