Despite the sudden change of trifecta to troika all of a sudden, this is a fun write-up. On paper, this NA regionals is even harder to call that the EU one but after seeing how that one turned out (alongside previous events) I can't see CLG and TSM not making top-3.
The other spot though is more difficult to call but I'm choosing Curse to take the third spot. They've been on something of a hot streak recently (sorta first at MLG, winning some online events) and they've got the mansion now. Would love to see the lower four do some good (Mono in particular) because I feel they've finally got a solid lineup they can work with. I expect to see TSM Evo going crashing out horribly. Unfortunately it seems that unless something crazy happens, we're stuck with a no-upsets top 3. Upset one top team, get another.
(Also, I think you should get a proper fourth prediction instead of double bear. I'm sure you could easily get people to help out. It feels weird to me to see one person making two seperate predictions. It means both lose all weight.)
TD will definitly be a force to reckon with in this tournament. Their performance at MLG was pretty impressive... I don't know what happened inside the team but game-wise it's definitly good for them that they picked up Nintendude again.
Btw that PAX Sona skin is so sick, probably the best skin ever released. Me want
BTW: I don't want to derail the thread any kind of code begging fest. I just stated that the Sona skin is fkn amazing and I wouldn't refuse a code.
Just finished getting through all of that. Fantastic write up. Great job guys. Hoping for Curse to squeeze into the third place spot but almost anyone could make it at this point.
PAX Sona skin is absolutely amazing. First skin I'm seriously considering buying that isn't on sale.
Anyway, I'll be tuning in this weekend and enjoying the show. Should be good games all around.
I dunno, I feel TD are due a tournament win, they always seem to just have a flat out bad game after lots of good performances and I think they'll have the grit to finish it this time. (but still lose to TSM in the finals)
As a long time Broodwar and Starcraft 2 fan/ masters player as well as an avid LoL player, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the TL write-ups are the best thing to come out of this community. They're critical, but justifiably so, and point to real results and events as proof, as well as amazingly engaging and entertaining. 10/10 as always.
About MLG. I don't think anyone disputes the fact that the ARAM was unprofessional. The teams were clearly at fault. However, we also see from this fiasco how unprofessional MLG as an organization is. To accuse team CRS and DIG of admitting to match fixing, only to have the two organizations come out and completly deny admitting to match fixing is unprofessional.
Lets be clear. MLG created their own nightmare. If they had only disqualified the teams for ARAM, there would not have been much fuss. If their reputation was not horrible before the ARAM, no one woudl have complained. Instead, MLG made false statements and accusations about the two teams, and that is the reason the fans are upset.

As a BW and SC2 fan/silver player, I must echo your sentiments.
Thanks guys for this preview. I always thoroughly read these kind of articles and enjoy them quite a bit! That being said, TSM, CLG, Dignitas for top three. I don't think there will be any major upsets.

While you're probably right, I'm really hoping for the upset from Curse. I <3 Curse

Agreed on the last count. At the very least, have double bear make the same prediction >:O Then you can be double-right when you're right instead of trying to cheat the system!
