Edit: I mean for the immediate situation. Obviously WE are still done for.

Time to nit get them shitfaced after games so they cant pracc prop :/ Both teams still qualified for Ro8, so it's w/e really. Also the first group to play, so it's hardly better or worse to qualify first or second from the group, since you don't know who you'll face. Nice play from Blaze. Hopefully if they meet again, WE will play less sloppily.

This game was a very good game for WE to lose imo as a WE fan. Every weakness of WE got shown against Blaze (which, I'm not sure, but probably studied WE quite thoroughly). Weaknesses of WE: 1. picks and bans 2. passivity in exerting map pressure (perhaps not a surprising change since IEM Guangzhou when they were hyper-aggressive; they are far better than anyone else in China so it pays for them to play safe and win with better farm and teamfighting; sort of like CLG.na, CLG.eu and M5 compared to before) 3. lack of a support/jungler shotcaller --> very few plays during laning phase Strengths of WE: 1. amazing teamfighting (even 8k gold down vs Blaze, they managed to trade 3 for 3 advantageously in hp while being caught) 2. Misaya (AP mid) and Weixiao/lf (AD/support) have very good grasp of the laning phase and get kills in lane very often while out-csing the opposing counterparts I thought that it would take a huge effort for WE to win after the picks/bans. WE didn't play to Weixiao's strengths in taking Urgot (which didn't help too much in teamfights due to Blaze's teamcomp and lacked the dps). They needed Karthus to become a beast to be able to carry them through the lategame, but didn't have a comp that could shield him, especially against Blaze's comp of Ahri, Noc and Graves. WE's teamcomp forced them to all-in in teamfights with Leona, Malph and Urgot cc and Karthus' AoE. That was a disaster decision vs such a mobile teamcomp as Blaze's, who can dive past the cc and instaburst Karthus down. I'm not sure if WE was baiting Blaze to show their strength since they feel that the top 2 of Group D will be even in skill anyway, but WE needs to reflect on the many things that went wrong in that game. Also, lol, they kept showing Weixiao on camera (cos he's handsome?).

also, I was not suprised at all to learn from the interview that SHy was a counter bait in game 1, it just seemed too obvious to me the way all 4 teammates ran in as soon as they engaged shy, why would they be there ready for action otherwise. I actually really like moletrap casting LoL but in this case I think he dropped the ball and just casted what he expected to happen rather than actually observe.

I downloaded the vods from last week (Group A games), so I can upload them somewhere unless there's already a reliable source for people to watch. I have the Korean commentated ones though, not the english. I don't really care for those. I think most of us would rather listen to senseless screaming with nal_ra's voice than we would equally senseless screaming in English that doesn't tell us anything.
