i think its hilarious that the same thing has happened to lol which happened in sc1/2. the white guys do ok at the start and predict it will be years before koreans can catch up because 'we are just so good' then like 2 months later koreans are the best in the world because they just take the game more seriously and all the NA/EU teams get left being all buttfrustrated that they arent really relevant anymore. no matter how many times it happens people still seem shocked that it happened to them too.

That's not entirely true. In SC1 koreans dominated because the rest of the world stopped playing that game in 2002/2003 which is also the point were koreans dominated everything. In wc3 some players like Grubby and ToD still could compete with the best koreans and chinese. SC2 is not fair because korea was always going to dominate with being so far ahead in SC1. LoL is going to be the same as WC2, mostly asians and a few western teams that can keep up with the best.

And cmon NA has #1 dramalamas. I feel your pain. Its exactly the same for me when I watch NA tourneys. But the Curse invitational deals with this problem nicely by having one NA and one EU qualifier, with the respective 4 best teams competing against each other offline. I guess you can still watch the NA portion of that tourney today. useful link: http://leaguepedia.absolutelegends.net/wiki/Reign_of_Gaming_International_Invitational Btw it seems like the supposedly best EU teams (m5, clg) are already out. aaa could follow them now. Eu scene is somewhat broader than NA scene imo.
