I feel like these two are constantly surprised at every play that gets made. Yeah, they're excited and interested. Just look at them when a player flashes and escapes compared to every other caster. For them they shout and scream at them. The average caster just says "their flash is up so they got away". Don't get me wrong, we do need some more energetic casters, but we don't need "AHHH WHAT SICK MICRO" everytime a Probe gets away from a Marine. This is partly it, but they just never make insightful comments. Between that and their apparent surprise at every little thing, I question how much they've even played this game. They certainly come off as extremely unskilled players. Excitement over trivial details detracts from commentary, not adds to it. You want to get excited about things that actually warrant it. When you flip your shit with "OH MY GOD" "THAT WAS SO AMAZING" every time a gank happens and someone flashes away, it's just irritating. Honestly, I much prefer the commentary in the OGN tournament to what we've had to far elsewhere (Jatt and other players that happened to cast put aside). When someone who doesn't understand the game at a high level commentates, I really don't enjoy it when they try to analyze the game but end up saying things that aren't true. The season 1 tournament at Dreamhack had a bunch of false stuff thrown around like "Lifesteal is cut by ignite" (it wasn't back then), "Lee sin E can reveal ward", "_____ got caught" when he got ganked by 3 players top letting his team take dragon, and so on. That and the constant comments about how the AD players were supposedly playing poorly by focusing the tanks, when back then in-your-face tanky dps (jarvan/irelia) were super popular and almost always picked. And pretty much every commentator thought that you cannot smite when silenced. If commentators can be exciting than honestly that's all that is really needed, especially since the game is new as an esport and you can be pretty sure that a lot of the viewers have very limited knowledge about it.

This year's April Fool's is pretty tame compared to Lee Sin's joke spotlight. Hope they have some better ones.
