Solo top Graves, yea or nay? So far I've butchered a Nasus, curbstomped a Wukong (although he was pants-on-head retarded so it doesn't count), beat Talon and gone even with a Swain.

Wriggle's -> Phage -> Zeal -> Frozen Mallet -> Atma's -> PD -> whatever

Some will say Triforce if I'm going Phage Zeal but I don't like it on Graves, you've got no spammable spell to proc it.
I am the Town Medic.

Solo top AD Range is so good, because you stomp so many melee bruisers.

Vayne, Graves, Cait (prob in that order too imoimo). All stronk at trading, helping ganks, escaping ganks.
Sivir is also good at just afk farming and pushing top lane to tower. She'll excel against the bruisers who suck at farming at tower.

I'd like to hear some opinions on this:

My friends and I were talking about Mages, and which ones were "best" throughout the game. We kind of came to the conclusion that bursty mages (Brand, Xerath, etc) kind of top out around the mid-game, but aren't threatening at all later on. On the other hand, sustained mages (Swain, Cass, Ryze) start out a bit weaker, but become monsters in the late game.

Which would you rather have on your team and why? Obviously whichever one is played better by your teammate, but all things taken equally, what are your thoughts?

Thats completely dependent on your teamcomp
In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

Not sure if cass is as much of a sustain mage as the other two, there are others like kennen, vlad who probably make use of spell vamp more. As to who is better, they all work differently in different comps. Xerath's poke and ability to catch people is very strong late.

Im like 99% sure the only lane cass loses is to kass. Her early game VERY stroink.

I mainly consider her such because her damage comes from DoTs and stringing E's together rather than a fire-and-forget combo like Veigar.

Ehhhh Xerath stands still. Cass can take pretty good advantage of that.

I'd rather lane against LB than Kass tbh.

Also, shouldn't this all be in the Cass thread or the counters thread? :3

I'm gonna start learning AP mid, so I'm gonna need some help. Right now I am functional with quite a few champs that can go AP mid. My favorite champion to play is definitely Vlad, but I'm not sure what his good matchups and bad matchups are. Does anyone wanna enlighten me?

For draft mode, I'm gonna be needing to counter pick the enemy team, or try not to get counterpicked. For that I will be needing a good champion pool. The champions I can play at least functionally are Vladimir, Morgana, Gangplank, Zilean, Soraka, and Katarina. Who should I learn next?

Vlad fares much better top than mid.

Learn Cass and Xerath.
Morg and Zil are probably your best go-to atm.

When should I pick Vlad top and when should I not? I would imagine matchups like Singed, Nasus, Garen, Teemo are pretty good for Vlad. How is Vlad vs Kennen?

Right now, Kennen is the only champ I actually feel comfortable playing against Vlad. I know Cass can do well, but the amount of mana it takes while also leaving you extremely open for ganks can be risky. Kennen can harass all he wants and can't get ganked.

Your initial question(s) were fine, Ray. But if you plan on focusing more on Vlad and specific MUs, do hop over to the Vlad or Counters thread. :3
