Veigar stun? Who cares about Veigar stun? His Q is longer range than Veigar Q and Veigar doesn't even have the mana to trade harrass, not to mention that yes, Ryze has no AP AND it's optimal on him to rush banshee veil.

I just took it in the butt by a Nunu solo top as Gangplank. He ran full flat AP and just snowballed me out of lane so fucking hard.
Is that a viable counter for real? It wasn't even funny how hard I lost.

Nunu is a strong laner but he has problems as he's not nearly as strong as gangplank in the later game.
Your best bet would be to play passively and rush a Negatron cloak, in my opinion. You could probably also max your heal first. Gangplank shouldn't lose to Nunu.

By the time I had mercs and another nullmagic mantle (+scaling mres runes obv) he had 4 drings (ya rly), boots, blasting wand.
I started maxing Q, realized its futile, started maxing W and realized I can't keep up with the Mana/Cooldown.
It really wasn't even close. :S

Ice ball is only single-target, but it does shut down that person for the duration of its slow. You need to call a gank sooner before he gets too many levels in his ice ball
