e: The mechanics thing pretty much was true with these teams, but that still didn't give CLG enough of an edge.

But yeah no point in arguing I guess if your arguments are of that level. Is there any way for CLG to get through or are they done? Group stage for EMS is 6 matches apparently--everyone plays everyone else twice. I think they qualify if they win every other groupstage match. If they lose one more, I don't know how EMS does tiebreakers.

Seems like a whole lot of cc but not a lot of damage. Its the US meta... amazing lategame but only if the opponent doesn't take advantage of the early game. EU did in both games

Practice against who? They already stomp every other team on US servers so they don't exactly get much practice there.

Just to briefly highlight their mistakes, Chauster said it was a bad choice for HS to insist on running Cho in a 1v2 lane. CLG likes the roaming meta but Cho in a dedicated 1vDPS+Babysit Support is giving CLG a really weak solo.

Not sure why they aren't trying that vs the eu meta.

Like running a taric/sion and how they could have just beasted down the squishiness of a caitlyn/janna. Not sure why they aren't trying that vs the eu meta. So true, so true... /looks @ HSGG The old patch with HoG didn't help either.

I don't think CLG completely stomps every other team on the US (didn't they lose to TSM a couple weeks ago?). If they were really serious about the competition they'll actually take time to try to set up scrims against other US teams and practice against various strategies. It's not like EU strategies were completely unexpected; everyone and their moms know that EU likes to run carry/support bottom lane and know the type of heros they like to run. It's not hard to say "Hey TSM, try using this strategy against us in a scrim".

In this game, his walls against TF mid when he was trying to harass kept being slightly late. I was thinking the same thing. I have never seen jiji miss so many walls. He's could possibly be best anivia in the world and it seemed like all his walls missed by like one pixel.

I've noticed that CLG tends to not play anything but big tournaments. Not taking advantage of things like Go4LoL which happen every week is a great way to rust your team.
