EU is only a day or two behind on the patches, zulu, zzzz.

CLG is doing really bad in teamfights. Also, did Phreak just say the global gold difference is in the favor of LLL by some thousands? WUT

Why are they playing with old HOGs and lantern then, whats the point of patching the regular client but not the tournament realm? Was this CLG's last game?

The reason its several patches behind is because they dont want to update the tournament realm in the middle of a tournament. Its a decent enough idea but I believe its worth it to keep it up to date considering the changes made are often rather large balance changes.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Late response to this, but EU's metagame can be behind while still playing better. Playing with drastically better teamfight coordination than US teams (due to arranged 5s actually being competitive) doesn't make things like Wit's End rush Irelia, babysitting stupidly strong solos like Caitlyn or Urgot bottom lane, or a complete lack of counterjungling any less retarded.

Yah, CLG just happens to beat every single NA team and gets destroyed by random EU teams.

you have two teams.

one team has never seen a particular strategy before.
the other team has practiced this strategy over and over again.

what do you think will happen? of course the team with the special strategy wins.

mechanically, eus are worse. Strategically, (in terms of game sense and whatnot) they are also worse. However, they were fielding strategies that CLG has never seen before, and they have practiced these straetegies as well. Whereas CLG's strategy of "farm gold get money" is a pretty basic one that the EU team has seen many times before. Arranged 5s are just a different game so its not that surprising.

A 1900 EU player, however, is as bad as a 1500 US Player in terms of game sense and actual play. Were the teams not rehearsed and just a bunch of people in solo Q NA would've dominated easily just because of how strong their mechanics were.

1600 EU is still comparable to 1100 US. Just watch streams of the two and you'll see what I mean.

I don't know what you mean by mechanically, but EU was actually getting more farm and lasthitting is mechanical if anything.

Thats the 1200-1700 elo meta that wickd uses, that Irelia for instance didn't rush Wits end, and the babysetting actually set HSGG significantly back in farm. Lack of counterjungling is true I guess, maybe they just thought it was too risky? These aren't even the best EU teams.

hi, irelia is stronger than corki in lane, tf is stronger than anivia in lane pre-6, and caitlyn is stronger than caitlyn in lane. Of course they're going to get more farm. A 2000 player could lane Olaf against a 1200 renekton and get outfarmed easily. Does that mean they are mechanically worse? No.

Again, stop making silly anecdotal remarks. If you watch a stream you'll know what I mean.

The Irelia from game 1 between OGB and PG rushed Wit's End. The 1 or 2 other Irelias I saw in prior EMS matches also rushed Wit's End.

I have a hard time believing that bot lane was getting denied solely off the babysit, seeing as even when Janna left bot lane to counter Ali's roam, Hotshot was still getting pushed off creeps by Cait by herself.

I really don't understand your point then. Your post would mean "they are equal mechanically". But yeah no point in arguing I guess if your arguments are of that level.

Is there any way for CLG to get through or are they done?
