Some things i've learned from these games, maybe others at this bracket can find it interesting: Most common bans for quite some time have been: Kassadin/Malz/Nocturne and Shen/Renek for 4th. If you're 1st pick try to ban the champions that may give you trouble in YOUR lane, say you aim to play ryze - focus your bans around strong AP carries that are hard for you to play against, like vlad/brand/malz. You always gotta have the mindset that you're gonna carry the shit out of the game - don't EVER rely on your team to carry you, thats not gonna happen. So try your hardest to pick champions that have a greater effect on the game - AP/Jungle and Top. Always look to play Jarvan or Ryze for top/mid respectively - these champions are bat shit retarded OP'd and I have no idea why people don't ban them more often. Never play early game/push junglers like shaco/yi or nunu - people don't know how to manage their lanes or how to play in order to make a gank work. Early game advantage is easily thrown away at this ELO so don't risk it. Split pushing is also a foreign concept. WW is the safest pick since he scales better and his ult is on a pretty short CD which makes u able to completely shut down a lane if you want to. Nocturne is often banned but get him too if possible. Don't play alistar, seriously you don't know how to roam, nor do you know what your're supposed to do in team fights, and why the fuck are you building AP when we have no tank? Recent Alistar hype is really fucking annoying because that champ requries A) a player with good timing and game sense and B) a bot lane partner that is actually reliable when you go aggressive (IE very rarely) Don't play katarina or jax, seriously.. just because you pub stomped a normal with these champs doesn't mean they work in ranked. People counter pick and know how to shut them down. I've never come across a kat or jax who had ANY part in a teams win - its more often a part of the reason as to why they lost. Pick guidelines: 1st pick. AP carry 2nd pick AP/Top - decide with your 1st pick. 3-5th pick: Jungler. But if you must: AD/support. Ive rarely come across a AD carry or support who actually carried the game - they rely too heavily on their team to really shine. So I'd suggest having these 2 archetypes as your "last picks". These are very specific things ive learned and im sure some higher elo players will laugh at this but this is what ive found gives you the greatest chance of success at this elo bracket. --- Quick shoutout to HeavOnEarth for explaining good pick strats. | ||

Also Jarvan is so gud bot lane with a support that gets him all the last hits, janna + jarvan cc combo lets them completely rape their lane and keel many times without dying. I don't know why everyone says Jarvan solo, it's so much better to just have your AP/AD carries solo zzzzz Kat is still a good last pick if they have no hard CC that will kill your ult, most idiots still don't know what to do against her, especially in lane, and she can still stomp her way to tripal quadrapal penta keeellzz I think nunu is fine cuz if you can shut down their jungler AND every lane (which nunu can do) you can put pressure on every lane so even if someone is losing they can be less losing (maybe even get a kill if they're unretarded enough). And the jungler can't gank if you're counter-jungling them hard enough so they can't pressure your fellow retards either. Laning is so important in low elo, no one knows how to team fight there, they just run in and LULZ LULZ LULZ everywhere with zero focus so it just comes down to which idiot is stronger/haz better items which translates into who won their lane. | ||

This is precisely because you end up with underfarmed and especially underleveled ranged AD in the bottom lane. Kass is not nearly as scary when he doesn't have a 2-3 level advantage on your ranged AD. It has been like that on EU for months btw. | ||
