Kobe got Aegis on Amumu/Rammus pretty much every game even before the HoG nerf (though he got HoG as well). Post-nerf, Aegis is pretty much the only early-midgame item that you might turn cloth armor into on tank junglers.

LOL higher Elo players sometimes behave so weird. Mid king gets caught 1v5 and dies immediatelly, saintvicious, satashi and some nocturne guy decide to avenge him 3v5 and then they talk about Dyrus being bad because he didn't want to go in 4v5. Mid king: "Dyrus stop trolling".
Are these some kind of high Elo jokes i don't get? O.o

They said it would be online 12:00 GMT (+00:00).
EDIT: Never mind add 3 hours to that.
UPDATE 13:15: While bringing up the system for verification, we noticed an issue with one of our databases. In order to avoid potential poor player experience, we are extending downtime by 3 hours to fix the issue. Once resolved, we'll verify the system and release the patch to users.

So, the RP that they are giving out, can you spend that on runes or is it only for champions/skins (and i am pretty sure the amount of RP they are giving isn't enough for most of the champions I want.)

You can only buy champions/skins, runebooks/champion bundles, and IP/XP boosts with RP. Sometimes bundles have some runes included but you mainly are buying the champions in those bundles.

You can "convert" RP to IP by buying the IP boost. 1 day boost is 290RP as well as 4 wins. If you have a free day. Just buy a one day boost and play the hell out.
I got a 3 days boost a while ago and with some help of my friend I was able to grind about 10000IP.

You can win battles 4v5 if the other team has blown their cds. Ofc it requires
1) good judgement
2) ppl to commit
3) non scaredy-cats.

Typically not going to happen if your mid dies before the fight. Usually one of your most important champs, and often squishy so your enemies don't really have to blow a lot of stuff on him.

You don't *have* to turn the cloth armor for junglers into anything though. Once you need the inventory slot at like 20 minutes into the game, you can sell it for a net loss of 90 gold, which you can think of as "renting" it for 5 gold/minute.

Why would you not get Aegis then? It's only real downside is that it's not slot-effective lategame, and if you're holding onto an item that's not slot-effective anyway, it might as well be a good one.
