i was in the game i would know
evidence my ass what we had was a show trial But at the same time why did he delete recording from his stream if it prooved his innocence? BTW Riot is a bunch of hypocrites, i don't see how they didn't fire shurelia after her drama and yet they fired Psy... she's a girl.... AN ASIAN GIRL... AT A VIDEO GAME COMPANY... THINK ABOUT IT. the recording wouldn't prove his innocence, it would merely prove that the other guy was in fact also being an asshole. my guess is that he just wants to put the entire thing behind him and is doing everything in his power to do so. leaving the recording up to prove that Ez goaded him would just sensationalize it and polarize the community further and due to the IGN article, would most likely have not done anything to make him not get fired. IMO it was pretty big of him to take it down since it prevents the community analyzing it and arguing over who's right and who's wrong. Yeah. And everyone hates her (and even more her voice)...

You guys are forgetting a very very big deal: He showed the admin tool to the public in his livestream.
This is a HUGE deal. I worked at a studio where the NDA stipulated that I couldn't even release pictures of my desk to the public. Even if I edited out the console devkits (which have special rules as well), blanked out my computer monitor and everything. Some gaming NDA's are more strict than some U.S. DoD contractors'.
Showing an internal tool, even just the GUI, would have been a HUGE deal. There's a reason it's so difficult to figure out how studios do what they do: It's top secret.
Not saying I agree, but it's very likely that his contract stipulated some clause like that.

A word (in human languages) is just a tool that is used to communicate a meaning. Meanings are given to words by society. It is not normal for people to say words without the intention of communicating a meaning. So if a word is commonly agreed upon to have an offensive meaning then using that word (in a certain context) is offensive.
It is not progress if people stop acknowledging the meanings of words. That would basically be the same as not listening to each other.

I herd this is a LoL thread.

Don't see the connection?
If you flame your allies, don't be surprised if they are offended (and thus make you lose).

Could we please get back on topic? It happened. We can't do anything to change it. If you do want to change it, talk about it on the official forums, not here.
On another note: Man it sucks not being 30 yet. I want to play ranked so bad, just to know if I'm actually good or not.

well, at this point it's pretty obvious you're trolling.
Taking a moment to address it seriously though, since I enjoy arguments.
I'm not afraid to speak my mind ("“Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing”, aristotle, my favorite quote), but whether by holding my mouth or quitting I'm not going to represent somebody else who doesn't share my opinions while doing it.
finished posting on the topic.

i am not trolling by any means, i don't censor myself online nor in real life, i have no reason NOT to tell a "nigger joke" or a "jew joke" or say "i got gypped" when i feel cheated because if someone (especially someone who is not in the "offended" race/gender/class/religion) is hurt by what i say, they are the ones in the wrong, not me

Something you need to know about ranked, you will find it quite different from normal play. The players you play with are probably going to be worse.
Anyway, your first few games have increased weight in deciding your Elo, so when you start of in ranked go into it with the mindset of carrying your team kicking and screaming to victory.

Thing i learned the hard way is you arent ready for ranked when you hit 30. Not by a long shot. Expect to drop fairly quickly. 150 games to get to level 30 might seem like enough experience, but it really isnt, you still dont know jack about the game. I know so much more than I did when I started, and still dont know enough to win consistently.

Maybe this will be the case if LoL is your first dota type game, depends on the player really.

Q: How else can I be suspended or permanently banned? A: In extreme cases, if a member of the Riot Games staff witness’s poor player conduct, they may make a judgment call to issue an immediate suspension or ban. With over a hundred Riot Games employees who play thousands of games a day, you just never know when you could be playing with a Rioter!

...
but if you bitch and QQ enough about a ban, you could get the riot employee fired instead!
i don't want to say that psy didn't overreact, and he put riot in an impossible PR situation, but wow it kinda sucks to have it directly say that a riot member can ban you in the rules, and then not follow that at all I'm sure Riot would have backed the employee if it was just a ban, seems like what got him is the photo evidence of using a racial slur. I feel like it was probably too much to fire him, but man, wherever you are, if you're an intern you've gotta watch your ass about PR. I actually just think he got raped by how quickly the situation got blown up on the internet. The original thread was massive, IGN did an article on it with the screenshots and talked about how it was hypocritical of the company to be working hard on something like the Tribunal System and to have an employee who raged, made a racial slur and banned another player over a game and Psy's facebook got blown up by hate. I think if the reaction outside of Riot had been less severe, Riot's punishment would've been less severe. I agree completely, I remember it sitting at about 5 pages for a while, just barely growing. Once the guy with the "gook" screencap came in is when it really blew up (iirc he was at about page 15). After that it hit 150pages in a blink, with all the articles and stuff. If it was just an employee raging and banning a guy, he'd still be there, he was fired because it became a massive PR disaster that the entire gaming community knew about. I wonder if Riot made the other guy wait out his ban, probably should have, he was as bad or worse than Psy... pendragon said that the ban was removed in his announcement concerning the situation iirc.
also what happened with shurelya?
