1) No unnecessary threads
Generally I'd say 1 thread per: Champion (all strategies, builds, etc for said champion), Map Strategies (ie summoners rift and twisted treeline), "Job" (jungler, tank, dps, etc at concept levels not champion specific)
2) QA thread for noobs - basically where you can ask a question that would be not necessary in a champion or concept thread but you are having trouble finding the answer to. Including in the OP a weekly compiling of FAQ
3) Please use the search function before asking or discussing something in a thread that is not immediately on topic. The threads should be much more easy to browse through for a synopsis of what you may need to know. Quote for clarity.
4) 1 thread for streams?

1) Too hard to qualify what is unnecessary and what isn't. Just tell people to have a little more restraint when they post. This isn't a spam forum anymore like our old LoL thread.
2) I say this is Uta's job.
3) The Guides/Builds thread should cover this.
4) Yeah, let's collect our streamer infos first then work on getting them incorporated into TL's main stream link on the top right.

Well asking a question that has been answered earlier is unnecessary. having more than 1 thread about a specific champion is unnecessary, etc.
I'm honestly just sick of every 2 pages someone asking the same question about a champion because the thread was so ungodly huge and unsortable. having a huge "guide/strat" thread could lead to the same problem.

I thot the guide thread would be sort of like a starting place where ppl would go to find written guides about stuff, it would be like the hub of this subforum with links going to the important stuff. I would like a 'general thread' tho, it was kinda nice to have a place where i could just go and ask about something obscure and usually get it answered (i.e. 5hit's recent question about mbr vs i.e. against certain comps is a good example of a 'general thread' sort of post). Also i think it would reduce the number of unnecessary threads that crop up with other little questions like this.

Proposed mega-threads: 1 per champion (all encompassing, the go-to for champion information) 1 QA for noobs thread (if you're just picking up the game, how to do things) 1 Summoner's Rift Strategy thread 1 Twisted Treeline Strategy thread 1 Item Strategy thread 1 Stream sticky 1 Champions thread links sticky 1 General FAQ sticky 1 General thread
I really think that there should be some kind of restriction for people trying to open new threads here (ie only mods can do it or something) because it's going to get overwhelmed quickly

I agree with Phrost. Keeping it to a small number of targeted threads will be much more cohesive than just allowing anyone to make a new thread. If there's a way to set mod status on this forum only that would be even better for the long time posters who aren't going to make troll threads. (which probably cuts it down to like 2-3 people anyway)

How about a fun/rush/owned thread similar to what we have for SC/SC2? The place where all the screenshots of troll games go, slightly less strictly moderated?
I guess I could live without it, but showing off with troll games is a lot of fun.

After the initial threads are setup there will only need to be 1 every 2 weeks for the next champion. A mod could do that with little/no effort.

Start it in the general thread and it can be moved into its own thread if there is a demand for it. Like i said, minimum number of threads leads to maximum ability to find things (assuming thread sizes are not too large)

What about a thread where everyone could post their account names, Elo, champs used, timed played ect similar to the practice partner thread or something?

Like i said, all in good time. Lock up the forum so only mods can make threads and it will be added as needed.

i dont think there is a large enough market for differentiating a general 'look at my win' page vs that (which i think we already plan on getting an epenis thread), i'd imagine we'd just stick with the 1

you guys should definitely at least have a thread for each champion. it'd be on the OP to update it though.
if you feel that how each "class" (tank, carry etc) plays in a game and during a teamfight is enough detail to warrant a thread, go for it. i'm not gonna close something thats full of good information.

The idea is for more self policing so that we dont have to worry about 50 bajillion threads that are about little or nothing and can be consolidated.

I think this would work really well, covers all bases really.

Ok, I'll work on a Nidalee thread

Anyone in favor of self imposed rules:
Don't make any threads unless you need to and unless it doesn't fit into the following:
1 per champion (all encompassing, the go-to for champion information) 1 QA for noobs thread (if you're just picking up the game, how to do things) 1 Summoner's Rift Strategy thread 1 Twisted Treeline Strategy thread 1 Item Strategy thread 1 Stream sticky 1 Champions thread links sticky 1 General FAQ sticky 1 General (offtopic) thread
- Only make new champion threads after the champion has been released on live or the champion skills have been released.

I will try to do miss fortune, as i play alot with her and im quite well
