Whenever I play a new game for a while, I start to notice things that could be improved, that are buggy, glitches, GUI streamlining or anything that just annoys and I will make a text document. I've done this for SC2, USF4, and now hearthstone.

I really didn't expect to find much but here is what I have so far, feel free to post about anything else that fits for you:

  • When hovering cards in collection, they should bring up the casts/battlecry/deathrattle etc cards that are affiliated. Such as choice cards and cards that spawn stuff. This is important to see their mana cost in case of return to hand or whatever.

  • game should clearly tell each player how many cards each other mulliganned

  • why does hunter card have different animation to taget enemy?

  • abilities that proc etc are inconsistent when in a stack. Deathrattles, summons, removeals, damages, etc. Game rules seem to be more on a card by card basis rather than really well thought through as in MTG. eg; equality + wild pyro, vs, poison seeds + narub ambushar + haunted creeper, vs, shaman +3 spell on 0/2 nerubian egg dies becomes 5/4 etc.

  • screenshots dont go into hearthstone folder, they go to desktop

  • When alt tabbeed something is buggy about the typing the lttre E- might have just been my keyboard that day lol.

  • When healing or damaging with a minion the arrow needs to be a different color. red for damage and blue/yellow/green for heal. Prevents accidental cards that look similar pictures from doing the wrong thing.
    (have lost a game because of this).

  • Need to have an option to hover over own charactr portrait to give your hand count easily, rather than having to count it.

  • haunted creeper spectral spiders should be beasts? Or all minions should have a subset type of creature at least.

  • should be able to cycle through dead/action scroller. Should be a list of cards played to look through.

  • silence on druid of the claw doesn't remove the health/damage buff.
    Would it work on rockbitered nerub egg?

  • cards draw too slowly when the fuse is burning down, and you still have a play to make based on the draws. Should be option to reduce animations of aesthetic stuff.

  • bug with end turn button not working, might have to do with stuff open in the background stealing focus or something?

  • when loading game it shows last video blurred across the top. If it was porn hours ago lol

  • truesliver champion attack animation is sloppy. It lifts up, heals, frameskips back, then lifts up, then attacks.

  • When taking screenshots of decklist cards are cutoff, expand the decklist to the right in another column as well so it fits in one screenshot.

  • Cards are often not specific enough. eg; lack words like permanent/until end of turn, any player, this turn only, etc. webspinner;youthful brewmaster, anub'ar ambusher, wild growth

  • no window mode. when alt tabbed it doesn't lose focus/minimize to desktop either, and you can still here the game clicking around when not in the game.


  • cant type to opponent, unless you add them to friend. Can't add until match is over, it's also somewhat difficult to even find this feature.


  • Concede doesn't work if the opponent is attacking you or casting something. Just a minor annoyance when you are about to die. needs to also be a shortcut button press to quit a game and exit game like every other blizzard game has had in the past.

  • Doing moves really fast has a X ms delay on it, a minor annoyance. has an effect on timer burning down. (waiting for things to resolve)

  • certain music or sound effects sound like the msg sound effect. that little 'chehh' sound or whatever.

  • Need to have a alternate list under quests for achievements and 'hidden' quests; eg: X out of 3 wins for 10g, x out of 100 wins for 300g, etc.

  • During a double KO/tie/draw you just get a defeat- game doesn't explain what happened. No player records.


  • shaman has too many random totems to summon. You should be able to choose the types of totems for a deck when you create it or something? I Dunno.

  • friendly minion trap only gives some deaths? with 2 damage mage spell

  • no record w/l/d in ranked play.

  • Card battecries similar to mcgurk effect: Abusive sergeant - faggot. Ventur Co Merc - Nigga

  • I wish there was an option to show all the x3+ of each card you have as well, that way you can easily find shit to DE rather than having to sift through.

  • from the mass disenchant menu there is no exit button so you end up clicking the background then have to click craft cards button to get back to the crafting menu.

  • Sometimes the cards in your hand will overlap funny. I think this is due to holding them while cards are drawn.

  • Can't copy/paste links from in hearthstone chat.

  • Arena should list a player's rank in ladder and current w/l arena score next to their name for each match.

  • Need to be able to see a minions max health when he's been buffed a bunch of times and injured. It's just a red number, you don't know how high he can heal back.

  • Should be an option to put decklist/cards drawn on the left side of the screen during matches. (like streamers have).

  • Should be more stats show for arena, when you hover each class, it should show best arena run record and you should be able to click it and show a spreadsheet of all runs and total wins/losses with that class.

Also somewhat related I watched the team hearthstone matches and I noticed that the teams still made obvious mistakes (and artosis /kripp pointed it out) and It made me think that since there is no timer that the best way to team play, would be that each turn each player silently looks and writes down their ideal turn, players on team compare, then discuss/vote, and finally make their moves.

So the consensus is that Naturalize! is a pretty questionable card to say the least, would anyone be happier if the card were say 2-4 mana and the opponent just draws 1 card?

The only thing that bugs me is that from the mass disenchant menu there is no exit button so you end up clicking the background then have to click craft cards button to get back to the crafting menu.

i feel like some of the stuff you posted in OP is just wrong. card text - with a few exceptions such as the thread you linked above my post - is very clear in Hearthstone. if something doesn't say "to the end of turn" or something similar to that effect, it means permanently. you just have to know that that's the case. a rulebook or something would be very useful though. also some of the graphics bugs you listed such as something about a last video played showing up (not entirely sure what you meant) have never occurred to me. that's not to say i think you're lying, just that those problems may not have to do with Hearthstone itself but rather with your setup or a combination of the two not getting along.

also referring to your second post: there actually has been a timer for friendly games for a long time now. you probably watched Fight Night games from like half a year ago.

My take on that blog is that the only legit gripe is that Shadow Madness and Cabal Shadow Priest have inconsistent effects despite the same wording (funny enough not something he posted, but something the discussion on Shadow Madness and 'charge' made me think of).

The rest are either nitpicky (like Molten Giant cost) or rather uncommon interactions like Shadow Madness + Power Overwhelming or Ice Block on Jaraxxus who gets Sacrificial Pact-ed (which apparently the OP was wrong about anyways).

Edit: On Topic, I wish you could search out the 3+ copies too. I'm a bit OCD in wanting to know what's being DE-ed via the Disenchant All page. Maybe hovering over the amounts could tell you.

I also wish there was a place that told you how many cards you have in your collection. Would be nice to know how close you are to completing things (and cuz I'm OCD).

I hadn't thought about seeing the tokens in the card collection page. That would be nice too actually.

Also, I'll echo what the other guy said about video errors, I've never seen most of what you're reporting. Could be your system? For the record I play on iPad and macbook.

It would be super nice to have feature that shows:

- How many packs you opened
- How many since last epic opened
- How many since last legendary (same with golden cards)


Bugs:

- Buying Naxx wings from heroic mode is buggy as hell. (well animation I mean)

Yeah people have discussed in game chat before, some people prefer it the way it is, others would like to talk. Not sure if it'll ever be possible. It is incredibly easy to add the last player you fought as a friend though.

That would be insanely strong. It'd give Shaman the ability to become a second Paladin, give them a guaranteed taunt totem in heavy control decks, or spell power in zeus decks. This is way too much.

Hello, I just played a game with the Paladin secret Avenge. I had Imp Master and ran an imp into his 2/8 taunt deathrattle dude. Secret did not trigger. It triggered on the following turn when his dude killed another imp.

The card reads:
"When one of your minions dies"

Any ideas?

Hello friend, bit of a weird place to ask this! Try here in the future!

But for now, no secrets ever activate on your own turn, only your opponent's. You can die to fatigue on your turn with an Ice Block up as mage for example!
