Before you begin posting, please read this thread, as these rules will help you get the most out of your experience here and make our forum a better place for everyone. If you break them, you will receive warnings and possibly be banned. We don't want to do this, so please think before you post.
1. This is our house.
This is our house and you are our guests. We will do everything in our power to treat everyone with respect and accommodate everyone's wishes, but this is a private site, so when you're here, you abide by our rules. We're not obligated to observe anyone's notions of free speech or fairness, but we will try to. Feel free to open a dialogue with staff or moderators or give suggestions in the Website Feedback Forum.
2. Follow forum etiquette.
Use common sense and treat others like you would want to be treated. This doesn't mean you can't argue or even flame someone. However, flames are largely discouraged and we expect people to have a good reason to resort to harsh language. Gratuitous swearing, insults, or trolling will get you banned. If you must flame, be smart or creative about it, and make sure the flame was deserved. In general, you'll never go wrong by being nice, polite, and mature.
There is a general etiquette that is followed on the forums that you can only learn through reading and posting, but here are a few important examples:
Jokes at the expense of someone's race, gender, or sexual orientation are not acceptable
DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE SCREAMING
Post your topics in the appropriate forum. If you can't find a topic you created, it might have been closed.
Don't spoil the results of games, sporting events, movies, books, etc in the title of the thread, and don't spoil in posts unless the thread is clearly a discussion that warrants it.
Don't be a drama queen or martyr. Our forums aren't colonial America or Tiananmen Square. "This is going to get me banned, but..." results in an automatic ban.
Use the Search Function before making a new thread to make sure there isn't already a topic.
Memes, even TL-generated ones, are annoying. There are plenty of places to go if you want to see pictures of people failing or a caption attached to a cat. Our forums are not one of those places.
3. Think before you post.
Consider carefully the context of the conversation and the user you are responding to before posting. It's very important to be informed about a discussion before posting your thoughts. Do not post just for the sake of posting. We will warn for excessive "+1" posts. Also, don't be a backseat moderator. Our moderators handle the moderation so you don't have to. If you see a post that requires moderation, you can report it using the report function at the top right of the post. Only users who have been registered for 12 months can report posts.
4. Contribute.
Everyone that is on TL is capable of contributing to the site in one way or another. Some people contribute by being helpful when someone posts a question. Some people contribute by writing interesting or humorous posts that stimulate discussion. Others provide resources or news. There's no single way to go about contributing, but all of these things help make our forums better. Many longtime contributors will have stars or special icons by their name. It's not a license to do anything they want, but in general good contributors will get favorable treatment.
When you create a new thread, make sure to include content worth discussing in it. A link or YouTube video is not enough. An opening post should set the tone for discussion by being thoughtful and well constructed. We will not hesitate to close threads that don't have enough content.
5. Don't spam.
Do not spam. Do not spam. Do not spam. Do not spam. Do not spam. Do not spam. Do not spam.
Don't use our forums as your personal marketing resource. Don't post referral links or blatant traffic grabs. It's fine to post a thread that links to your personal blog or an article you wrote or published on another site if the content is relevant to the discussion, but treat our forums as your home, not as a tool to drive traffic.
6. Respect forum veterans.
All other things being equal, we will give preferential treatment to site members who have been with us longer. This doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want, but they do get the benefit of the doubt. The same goes for "known" professional players or personalities. If we know you and you've been around and contributed, you are much less likely to have your posts or account moderated.
In practice, this policy means a user who has thousands of posts can get away with breaking a few minor rules with just a warning while a new user might be banned. Is this unfair? Probably. But that's how it works here, longevity and contribution are rewarded.
7. English is the official language.
Please use English only, and make an attempt to spell check and type coherently.
Ceci est un site anglophone. V沠s堶ennlig 堢enytt engelsk p堤isse sidene. Diese seite ist offiziell in Englisch gehalten. 英语是官方语言,请用英语。 Ingles es el lenguaje oficial de este sitio. Use English, please.
8. Respect your ID.
Don't register 10 accounts or make your ID a novelty account that only posts a 1-liner joke over and over. Your ID is your name, its how our users will know you and recognize you. For this reason we generally discourage users from changing their IDs. In limited circumstances we do allow a name change, but make sure you have a good reason.
9. Read these rules.
Yes, we realize that if you weren't reading the rules to begin with you probably won't be reading this, and if you're reading this, you're already reading them. So, err, keep reading.
10. Have fun! Our site has fun people. Enjoy it. Make others happy. Be happy. Avoid being negative. Heed the admonition of Oscar Wilde: some people bring happiness wherever they go, others whenever they go.

With just BW/SC2/Dota 2 TL was getting cramped. We figured it'd be better for everyone to make Hearthstone separate. Imagine all these forums in addition to what's already on TL. It'd be WAY too cluttered.
Couldn't see anything about it so delete this post if it's considered spam or anything, but is there a beta key giveaway thread or anything? Didn't want to make a new thread and spam up this brand new forum

Will the Hearthstone forum be gaining some Hearthstone related emotes/faces? Likewise with the little picture at the top left of your post (don't know the official name for it) will it rank up dependant on post?
I can't find any rules about that but... is there's a reason why I cannot create a Blog? Been trying to find the button, but is not there in the "blog" section

Profile -> My Blog I think. Once you start it you'll get the link in the header of your posts from then on.
33. Lightwarden Lightwarden obviously goes up in value in a Priest deck. For the other eight classes, however, she is too low impact and will never trigger.
and that's all? shouldn't there be even a mention of true silver synergy? You swing at someone except that little card and suddenly enemy have 3/2 on a board. I know it's purely situational but at least one more line or edit for "seven other classes"?
sorry if this is the wrong place to ask becos i dunno where to post this
I am planning to create a thread in "streams" section for my Youtube arena videos, its not a stream thread but just a thread to let others view my arena videos. Am i allowed to create such thread?

I know we have the "what would you pick thread" but I'm not sure if it's allowed to post there an entire arena draft so you can discuss what you could've picked better to learn from it or if I should make a new thread later on. Hence I'm asking a mod here if I should post in the earlier mentioned thread or make a new one.
There is no fun in Nad Pagle. I mean people say sorry when drawing 2 cards in 2 turns because they feel guilty. It makes just angry to see opponent draw 1 card EVERY turn.
I don't see any fun.
Tinkmaster the same. If someone uses 3 mana and get a 2/2 to make tirion a 1/1 its just stupid. Its no fun.
Today I was at 1 HP at turn 8 with my quickly assembled dailyquest warrior deck, playing an emotespamming Hunter. He has already used Eagle and Steady to bring me down to one, his only creature a 1/1 Wolf could seal the deal. He plays Buzz and Owl silencing his own wolf and skips.
I had Alextrasza in my hand and just received my mana to play her. He kept emoting until i finally blew him away with Alex, Arkanite and +4 damage.
So satisfiying to call out a "Well played" in this case!
fun fact: Knife Juggler throws a knife as Get down gets triggered, if the knife kills the attacker, Get Down minion stays on the board. I have a screenshot as proof.
The guides are excellent and greatly appreciated. I've dabbled with MTG and came back to it with the most recent iPad version.
Gave Hearthstone a shot and it is great. This app is how card and freemium games should be done.
This guide needs a few edits as it is no longer in beta. And there have been game mods as well. Perhaps there are not many new players coming to this site, but if someone is looking for guidance this one is the best. Now that the iPad version is out, maybe there will be other new players.
Blizz ripped me off on legendary cards. I complained, they ignored, so I'm going to rat on them. Bought 40 packs, got a leeroy and an illidan. bought another 40, got another leeroy, another illidan. won a few oranges here and there - a milhouse [hey...], a deathwing. cut myself a lee van cleef n hey, next time i won an orange, it was a lee! time after that, it was a deathwing! [mm, deathwing]. i paid money to enjoy myself, not be insulted by thieves.
hi everyone I'm a defiantly noob here so bare with me i was wondering how do i get in touch with cullpeper va gameing store on more info on this hearthstone worlds championship goin down August 16th, in my area and what an whom do i get contact on which web page and where do get started to signup y'all...I'm lost exuse my typin very tired long day cuttin grass 5 acres of farm steep hillside land work on my john deere tracker my bad ya'll...
Sounds like reasonable rules, most of which should be easy to follow without much effort. (Although, with the number of users who were warned/banned for replies on this very post, I suppose it's good to keep them in mind.)

fascinatingly they only post in "Hearthstone General" or "Strategy". For some reason these forums must have made it onto the list for the indian scammers to spam on.
they offer so much, child birth, black magic, get someone to love you, money, job, voodoo, EVERYTHING. Except a way to prevent them from spamming our forums.
Whoa, suddenly all the links to GvG cards work. This will make talking about cards and decks much easier once again. Thank you R!CH (I suppose it was you :p)
Still a rookie. Me and a friend keep playing a lot. Was about to lose to his priest in T8. He had well buffed mobs on his side and I had nothing on my warriors side, as he had countered my early rush. As a last resort, having no other play, I played:
Grim Patron + Bouncing blade (total cost 8). I won shortly after.
Right now the content on site is simply to test the layout but I will soon be adding quality content that I think may interest a lot of hearthstone players. I will add youtube videos, deck tips and tricks, bursts that works and much much more! I hope you enjoy the site in the future, for now you can get a preview.
mod edit: link removed
Would you like to take a look, maybe in the future we could exchange backlinks, I really like you're site and it would be great to share some traffic.
