But from fairness point of view the white kid who started this and he also assaulted and is the aggrevator in this case, why isn't he charged and facing expulsion? It bothers me alot when someone moves to another country, working hard and doing nothing but living life and get beaten up, yet wind up as the guilty. WHERE IS THE FUCKING JUSTICE. Just something to add, the Korean kid was also voted the 'World's Best Person' on MSNBC's Countdown With Keith Olbermann on Thursday night. I haven't read through the thread and I'm sure someone said something about this, but if you fucking get punched in the face, you punch back. You don't stand there playing with your phone trying to dial 911 as he's curbstomping you. | ||

Rather, if the korean kid struck back immediately, from what I'm aware (in the states at least) it's considered self-defense. Just as if you were stabbed by someone and they are walking away, yuo can't shoot them in the back anymore, but if they are still a threat, you can. I bet you could lie in a lot of those situations though and say they were still being the aggressor. | ||

There was no enough evidence to suggest that the korean kid life was in danger in order to justify the right of self defense. like i have said it was simply a taunt and punch, the white kid never proceeded by continuously punching after the first punch nor did he use other objects to hurt the korean kid. the korean kid just did what a normal person would do, reacted by punching the white kid. in the eyes of the law this is assault ausing bodily harm, battery or whatever, however both should be charge but more emphasis on the white kid. | ||

Most immigrants I know are the hardest working people out there. They know that they come from a crappy situation but with lots of work they can change that, and they do. They took the shot, started from the bottom and worked their way up. Thats essentially how america works. One group of immigrants comes in, at first no one likes them because they "took R Jurbs!" but once they establish themselves as a community they steadily work there way up. Is it perfect? No not by any means but America is one of the few places to offer immigrants a chance like that. | ||

In the end it boils down to what you consider a man and a kid. Reading from your statement, I presume your standard of maturity is based on legal standards. Fair enough. From my side, my belief in maturity is based on one's sense of respect for onself and others. This means if someone acts like a racist dude and attacks me, out of respect for myself I will stand my ground. That doesn't mean I'll place the other guy in a vegetative state, but I will let him know that I will not be messed with. And you know what, I accept the consequences of my actions which I feel is the real basis for maturity. Btw, I'm blackbelt hiya! | ||

I think White is derived for mainly American Whites because the term "American" is too broad to place only on the White population of America. So again, I have no idea what your beef is.
