And how much do you suck if amateurs who don't play instruments can recreate most of your songs? I think there was a band in the back that played the actual song (for the most part); the drums and the guitars in the back. So what were they actually judged on? o.o The song sounded like the Ramones, only for 15 year old girls and without all the energy and culture that made the Ramones the Ramones. Basically it was repetitive and awful. I donno, the judging was probably based mostly on the singing and their stage performance rather than the technicalities. For example, acting confident and getting the lyrics right... XD I skipped some of the beginning, so I want to confirm that there was little Incontrol in the first episode?

Is that a good reason to be such a prick to someone from a TV show you're watching who came here to talk about the show with you and explain that they weren't just picked at random from an online lottery? Absolutely not. Realize that competitive gaming can exist outside of Korea, and even somehow without 12 hours of practice per day. Even with horrifically imbalanced games at that. I've seen people travel farther and with bigger groups to play Pump it Up (an arcade dance game) than I've ever seen for starcraft outside of WCG. I'm sure pump has an equivalently big tourney, I just don't know what it is. And WCG isn't even a starcraft tourney, sc is barely holding on to its spot in a tournament that has everything from racing to guitar hero to Counter Strike.

It was immediately noticeable that the only distinguishable traits from each "gamer band"'s performance were style, confidence, and singing. I play guitar and it's obvious that the backing band played the actual guitar.

We should measure someone's skill as a gamer purely on "progamer games" like CS and Starcraft? Your sarcasm isn't appreciated, especially when it's directed at someone who can provide valuable insight on a show that a lot of us are watching -_-

Though honestly, If I were to get one more person on this show, I think Fatal1ty should be on there, I mean, really. He is pretty much the standalone face for progaming [outside of the RTS world, of course]. I dunno if anyone else mentioned this [didn't read through 50 pages :X]. And, obviously it'd be up to him... I'm sure if he applied and whatnot he would've gotten through, so, the point is really moot. Either way, it's a bit cheesy, but it's still entertaining. Mostly awesome because inc has a home here, and now StarSlay3r has joined as well! Good luck to you both! ![]() ![]()

Guess what determines games 90% of the time for events like wcg? Sponsors! guess why they had that mobile phone racing game. I dont consider guitar hero as an e-sport becuase all it is building muscle memory and your own memory. Thats like making a game, where the winner is who can recite pi to the x place with out faltering at all. What a great game! On rainbow 6, I couldn't care less about such a low tier shooter, whereas incredibly skilled duelling games like Quake 3, in its variants i.e VQ3 and CPMA get overlooked and are slowly dieing. I would almost go as far to say that most console pro gaming is a joke. However console e-sports suits america, so i hope america has fun with it. I personally have followed e-sports for over 5 years, following many different games. Ofcourse i understand it can exist outside of korea. Never have i heard of winning a rainbow 6 tournament as being a credential. Same with guitar hero. It still blows my mind that a guitar hero player could get sponsors, in that who would waste the time/effort supporting someone playing pretend guitar as their day job. http://tech.msn.com/news/articlepcw.aspx?cp-documentid=18354912>1=40000 This woman has won 400k playing bejeweled! She is obviously progamer, and at that, what, the 2nd most accomplished (as far as winnings go) in america? Oh well maybe 3rd given that thresh won a ferrari playing q2.
