4: JD is a good guy. I feel bad he lost. He tried EXTRA hard to beat rob yet knew what the outcome would be. (hence the finger breaking comment) I wish I could have gotten to know him better. We've talked since the show and he seems cool, I dont get why so many ppl talk crap about him, I guess because of the several negative comments he made while on the show but oh well.
People talk crap about him because his game ( Madden ) isn't competitive and his achievments suck. But he seemed like a really cool guy tbh. Him >>> prodigy ( at least in the first episode ). He seemed mannered and humble ( compared to Robert haha ).

Yeah well you look at the people completely different when you know them. You can stop and go... "WTF? (s)he's not like that at all!" or "wow they really focus on this/that side of you" You know? I'm portrayed as "the crier" Every show has one. I broke down... yes... but there was always a reason. 1st time, talking about my daughter, 2nd time I knew that if we were last place for the real life challenge there was a chance I could end up in the bottom overall, thoughts of losing 100k and losing the chance to see my lil girl suck.I am an emotional person despite my tough looking exterior... I'm only human... I don't know what else to say.
As for SC. Yes I want to be prepared for SC2, but while I know an uber computer isn't necessary I also am a fan of Quake Live and Unreal Tournament 2004 so I prefer a pc over laptop. Seeing that I only have so much space to work with I will probably get a laptop as of right now I can only access the computer when my roommate isn't doing a raid.

Why can't I get rid of the feeling that JD just had to rub the fact that he's jewish in everybody's nose? I mean come on, his nick, his shirt and his necklace all out on the elimination show..

Oh by all means, speak up, I don't care. I just don't like people who feel the need to constantly remind you of the fact that they're an adherent of a certain religion/lifestyle or whatever..

Finally watched it, not really sure what to think. Disliked the editing and over dramatic style, they should really focus more on the gameplay =/
Also, to the above poster, I think he was pregaming for the Nazi joke.

He's proud to be jewish? :shoulder shrug: I wish the show focused on gameplay more as well.

You don't say? He's British and they can't leave WWII out of the game..

Well, I'm not sure whether it's really pride, but when you look at his nickname (KosherHamm), the shirt he wore in the audition (100% Kosher) and the fact that he wore his necklace over his shirt with the solomon seal when he was up against Robert in elimination, I can't help but to wish he would not strike it out that much. Same applies to any other religion/lifestyle of course.
Furthermore, I agree with your opinion on the focus. I think they should show more of it, it's really interesting to see how the respective "experts" play those games.

eh. it just kinda sucks because this is a whole new way of gaming. Much different then playing at home or at a tournament... results of this show would have prob been way different if there was no cameras around just pure gaming skill and not an elimination based system. Oh well.

I have the most important question.
How was the food?

so clearly there is an alliance, it seems like JD was there first target. Rob was one of the only people decent at RB and yet he came last on a team that didn't include Starslayer? That's kind of disappointing that it's being manipulated like this so early on. Can any contestants retort this or is that under NDA?

When is the next episode available to be streamed on youtube?

The food was great ... but that's just because we got whatever we wanted. JD was an awesome cook and so was Amy. :D Other then that the cabinets/ fridge/ freezer were full of yummy food. I actually was a bit upset about that because I went off my diet when going on the show. Luckily I have been on a diet since got back in shape, shame I don't look good on tv though. :p
As for retorting... the results are the results... and that's that.
Next episode will be on youtube prob a day or two after the show airs on the 17th.

p.s. where's {88}iNcontroL ? I haven't seen him post in a day and a half.
I noticed wikipedia posted this for upcoming episodes:
2 "Kicking and Screaming" Hannah Simone, Joel Gourdin March 17, 2009
The contestants test their physical abilities and gaming skills with Virtua Fighter 5; the gamers begin to turn on one of their fellow competitors.
3 Shut Up and Drive Hannah Simone, Joel Gourdin March 24, 2009
One gamer's return to the loft causes drama; the contestants become stunt drivers in a challenge for Project Gotham Racing 4.

The next episode is going to be good.... I'm guessing what's going to happen and in my head it looks pretty entertaining.

Edit: Or is sci-fi going to put it on their site? + Show Spoiler + Well just look at a few of the things: 1. Incontrol said he features heavily in this episode. 2. Incontrol is good at street fighter (if i remember correctly). 3. The episode title says the gamers turn on one of their fellow contestants. 4. At the end of last episode there was a lot of Prodigy hate. 5. But then the next episode says "One gamer's return to the loft causes drama".
I'm guessing that whoever loses this episode (possibly prodigy) gets put against a GOOD gamer (possibly Incontrol) in an attempt to knock them out... but then they actually WIN the challenge (hence the drama).
We already know that alliances are formed, could it be that during the episode the contestants realise that they can lose challenges on purpose if they are already in the top group? So some players that performed great in the real-life challenges decide that they will purposely do badly in the gaming to knock out certain players on their team?
Realistically I'm probably way off... but what we know just leads me to think of cool scenarios.
