I'm just saying, if you asked me to play a random game against a person on the cast of that show and I had to go on the information I've gotten from watching and reading forum material, I would pick Chelsea instantly, including all of the previously eliminated players.
It goes without saying that I would avoid Robert at all costs. The kid seems to be good at everything.
Well you are right by all accounts on Robert according to my math thus far. I posted this in the other forums but I will share here along with another book that SHOULD be read first (Some of this will be repeat information, but really I'm tired of rewriting and just copy and pasting at this point):
This is what I got for an average. This is a weighted scale with all the eliminated contestants tying for last after they were gone to allow the eliminated contestants into the current rankings.
This is factored in with placement of how many team/individuals were competing in EACH challenge (i.e. you have to average placement out of how many actually competed to get a true average. If you didn't do this Robert, for example) would actually be much lower as his one low ranking game would have dragged his number way down if the scale wasn't weighted on how many competing). This is using the individual rankings on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WCG_Ultimate_Gamer]WCG Ultimate Gamer Wiki I don't profess to be proficient at math, but I let excel do the work for me. Everything is constantly averaged into the last week score to find the cumulative. If anyone wants to double check and do the math for verification please do =P I only spent the time of this because someone else had inaccrute averages as they did not factor in the number of people competing each week.
Please keep in mind all the flaws in this that include auto ranking with team challenges, the fact that eliminated contestants didn't get to actually play the other games and some had weaker genres first, the issue that some challenges had higher weight vales being smaller groups/teams. and the the other random things that you see that effect these scores!
Also bear in mind these rankings WILL continue to change as the more games are played and it favor's people who have already had their genre's up more and disfavor's eliminated contestants who perhaps didn't get to play their specialty's or strongest games.
Anyway, these rankings are not and should not be viewed at face value but are yes a general indicator. Everyone in that house has weaker showing at one game or another, (by weaker I mean not in the top 3).
In truth there is only one gamer in that house that has yet to score a top 3 finish on an actual game (but I believe even this is due to other factors going on to include team rankings and other possible things), and the only one that HAS gone so far that DID take a top 3 was Alyson in VF5 =P
I also firmly believe that it is also reasonable to say that the ones that left the house WOULD have taken a top 3 as well when their genres came up. (JD in NBA, Kelly Halo, etc.)

ahhhhhhhh!!! I didn't watch the last episode, now that Inc's gone... But then I went on Hulu and watched it today. I must say I am surprised that I will continue to watch. I was pumped when the supposedly stacked paintball team got rolled by the 'girl' team.
I'm cheering for Amy and Swoozie, because they seem to be the only people who are left that don't annoy me on some level... And actually seem like really good people (Although I'm sure they're all alright). I think Jamal, Swoozie, or Robert are most likely to win though. They seem to be the best when it comes to 'all around gaming'.

I think Swoozie will win.

Jamal, if you're reading this, can you drop in with random tidbits? It's really interesting to hear stuff from the gamers themselves. Although if you do post, I'm not sure if I'd believe that it's not Hot_Bid.

Had to be done, lol. Top two gamers right there, I'll call that now almost for sure.
Rob carried, evidently Mark is a pubstar. I have to say I was rooting for Mark but decency forbids that I root for a guy who'd cheat on his girlfriend. Anyone who would BM in a match like that isn't a real gamer, so definitely a no on Jamal... It seems logical that Rob will win, they can try to pick him off but that means someone will have to be better at him in a game and that hasn't really happened yet, lol...
And the isolation set-up was incredible, makes the CGS look like it was for children's games (not that it wasn't... =p). If you guys are saying the Finals set-up will trump it, I have to keep watching. =p

lol and people said the show would get worse. Best week yet imo.
And yea, Robert and Swoozie seem to be the ones to beat.
From the replay, it was pretty obvious that whoever had Rob as their teammate would win the challenge if he didn't throw the game.
also, the remarks on personal character are really silly. last week, people were outraged Ciji didn't throw the game, now people are mad that she did (yea, I know the events and circumstances are different, still...).

Yup, I'd say Halo is the game that popularized T-bagging atleast on the consoles.

Yes the lower the better in my equation as higher denominates a lower ranking.
I believe it is essentially this in Mathematical Terms although please forgive me as I used excel so am not sure if I can write it correctly. Also, my degree had little to do with math lol!
G=Gamer TP= Total Gamer/Teams in Physical Challenge TI= Total Gamer/Teams in Isolation Challenge P= Physical Challenge Placement I= Isolation Challenge Placement N=Total Average of Physical/Isolation Challenge
An average is found by finding the sum of a list of numbers and dividing by the number of items on that list. So to find our average the number of items would translate to how many gamers were competing. IF (G/TP=P) and (G/TI=I)
THEN: I+P ---------- =N 2
I then took the cumulative averages from each game week and averaged them to get the total. does that make sense? I hope so, cause it does in excel hehe! If some amazing mathematician is out there I can provide even more variables that really should factor in (the changing amounts competing individually and in 2 and 4 man teams), in the equation, but alas I do not have the know how!
And yes Jeff, you and your peeps certainly sucked me in here. I love to hear the unfiltered thoughts of communities outside my own and maybe even change a opinion or two sometimes hehe. Even though I have had negative comments, I take them with a grain of salt, and sometimes I even contemplate on them. It helps you grow =P
Thanks for introducing me, although I am really anticipating someone telling me to STFU soon lol!

Hey Amy, just curious; have you taken a look at the rest of the site? Do you follow Korean pro-Starcraft even vaguely? Enough to have a favourite player perhaps?

Hehe, your going to hate me but no I don't follow it player wise, even if I did Geoff would have been my favorite by now lol, even though I know the Koreans are in a league of their own! I have watched it at many a tournament, especially this last year as I traveled to so many of the bigger leagues in Europe, but to be honest it totally loses me and way above my head.
I can appreciate the strategy and immense coordination and forethought this game takes, as one of our DotA girls showed me around that game and I could better understand after it was all explained. And of course I follow gaming overall and am very aware how important of a role this game fills in competitive gaming. Experiencing the following in Europe alone was big and I can't even imagine what it is like further east (although I hear the stories!) Paris BlizzCon alone was insanely crazy on this game and I found myself in awe.
The only real experience and time I have on any RTS is EndWar and of course it is a much different experience then StarCraft lol!
My hope is someday that the gaming is perceived here the same that is is over on the other side of the pond, especially when it comes to this game! I also hope that happens for other games and genre's as well =P
