The film had no qualms about attacking morality issues, both in-your-face and very subtle. The main problem of the film, in my opinion, is that it doesn't know which questions to ask, and which ones to answer. Despite a cadre of strong performances, the film remains uncomfortably ambiguous as to it's intent. Technically flawless, I wish Ledger were around for Nolan to construct a strong follow up/ it doesn't have to ask or answer questions, batman has to stop a villain there shouldn't be anything so ambitious in a batman movie

Dark Knight was good, somewhat over-hyped, but quite good. There was a hell of a lot of word-of-mouth for that movie what with everyone being like "Fuck its good."

The downside is that you probably hate any siblings you have, and resent what your parents do for a living.

Maybe you can expound on what made the Dark Knight a good movie for us, though.

Also, there was a scarecrow. Does this mean I am going to be a serial murderer? Am I gay? seriously this is a dream that I've heard quite a lot of people having. Not exactly this with the drowning girl and the scarecrow, but on the general theme that you know something that is right, but noone else understands that it is the right thing to do. My personal theory is that these dreams are related to them getting more confident in themselves and slowly starting to realise that they actually can trust their own judgement in a conscious way. In the sence that when you are like 14 you tend to say whatever is on your mind and be pretty confident about it is some sence, but the reason that you believe everyone else are wrong is in general ignorance at that age. That is, you dont really consider their point of view at all. You may listen to their arguments, but only to prove them wrong, not to actually understand their view. Later on you learn to take in other peoples views (not only arguments) and with that comes greater confidence when you still feel your point of view is correct, and more frustration when people dont agree with you, which may cause dreams like this. Well, thats my attempt at saving the thread. ![]() + Show Spoiler + discuss.
