Obama has found a niche into which he fits like a hand into a glove, and he can aim straight into the top office. Its likely if money was his motivator that he could have more financial benefit as an ex president than he could have had if he devoted his life to business.

GTFO this is why i'm so happy that there are those "instapolls" right after the debate. we still have to listen to the pundits pontificate for 10 minutes or so, but then boom we get to see what the actual voters thought and that's what ultimately sets the narrative for the following cycles. on nights like this when the pundits were all getting ready to laud mccain's performance it feels really sweet that we have those instapolls to jerk them back to reality

except for that when they later broke down the poll into democrats/republicans/independents, the margin among independents was just as huge. (and the margin at CBS uncommitted voters was much larger still) god i hate pundits (except david gergen)

That is hillarious, especially when McCain says "Zero?" like hes absolutely stunned/shocked/flabbergasted. He did look like a deer in the headlights, which is strange because I don't quite get why he was freaking out so hard.

It doesn't hurt that Obama LOOKS like a president as well (unless his skin colour is a problem). He's tall, handsome and radiates calm. I mean, this is extreme but look at that pic of Obama striding out from behind the table and McCain trying to act funny and pretending not to know which way to go. Not saying that that means Obama would make a good president, but man he looks like one. And seriously, how can some "political analyst" think that McCain won the debate?

Is it trying to point out how vague obama is or his awesome non-sequitors that are unnoticable to the general public ;O If I recall, it was about Republicans getting a hardon for how many times Obama said 'I agree' in the first debate when in reality he was the only one providing any qualification and specifics for what were otherwise blanket, 'no shit' comments by McCain. Ok, back to catching up the thread. edits: On Fox News: They're simply trying to save face at this point. It's obvious that without some kind of divine intervention (or a major slip up), this election belongs to Obama. They don't want to appear blantantly partisan by backing the dying horse in a lost race. They're just acknowledging the inevitable and the undeniable. And Jibba, that Batman clip was priceless. Where did you ever find that?

GTFO I thought McCain won the debate in an indecisive fashion, but it doesn't matter since anything but a decisive win for McCain wouldn't be enough to stop Obama from beating him, if not routing him, in the electoral college (and likely the popular vote). Also Obama had a really bad start to this debate if it continued like the first 10 or 20 minutes went he might have lost a large chunk of his lead in the election, but something changed to give him momentum.
