Would you actually make money if this sold well? What's the cut of profits like...? Initial investment?
Seems to me if the profits are split nicely, this would be a decent way for unknowns to publish a book of poems or something to start a writing career off... I may be interested in that.

EDIT: Hmm... I read through it a bit :O Pretty cool... But I think you set the list price badly... you'll have to pay them 76 cents per book sold if I did my calculations right... Unless you went with their pro account... In which case you'll have to pay them 5 dollars a year, but you'll profit a bit on sales.

Regarding pricing and all that... the author chooses the list price, which is at least the cost that amazon+publisher charges. The royalty is the difference of the list price and the cost to the publisher+Amazon. Head over to www.createspace.com to learn the details. The cool thing is how it's free to get started, and you just upload some pdf's and they publish it for you. The only cost to the author is the purchasing of a proof (sold at-cost) for review before release to Amazon and the private store.
If you want to see the quality of the book, then you'll just have to buy one from me or another... although I showed the book to a few people including my dad who were all impressed by the quality given the circumstances... so it is pretty good at least.
