This scenario basically happened to me.

I was decorating a guys house and he had a big german shepard as a guard dog. It was always locked away when i went to the dudes house but it barked and jumped at the fence like crazy constantly.

One time I go round and the gate was open it ran up to me and bit my leg i kicked it and it ran away and the guy came out and stopped it. My leg was bleeding and shit. Anyways the next time I go there i check and the gates open again and it starts barking and running at me, I knew it was coming to attack me (again) like it did the week before.

When it jumped up at me I grabbed out with my hands and ended up grabbing its back legs. As it knocked me over i pulled its legs away from eachother and dislocated them it just couldnt move and was whimpering on the floor, I felt really bad and the guy came out and fucking told me to gtfo without paying me. But the dog ended up walking again I think.

I guess I got fucking lucky with how it happened and it certainly would have fucked me up i didnt grab its legs

Because the majority of Americans are not obese or overweight. Granted we have a huge problem, it's far from that 50% point. To just assume a far American is biased.

As for me. Personally I wouldn't put too much money on myself to defeat a german shepard, I'm fairly skinny and I don't know if I would win or not.

I think if the person can get his arm around the dog's neck, it's over. Even if the dog gets to the person's throat, as long as it doesn't puncture anything major immediately, the guy could wrestle it off pretty quickly. In my opinion I just feel like a person can get a dog off of him a lot easier than a dog can get a person off of it. It comes down to the person's pain threshold because if you can think clearly enough to head lock it while being bit like a ton of people have said, it's not that hard to kill.

This. Just get your arms around the dogs neck and its over. Sure he might bite your arm/hand and it will hurt, but I don't see how an adult would lose to any dog.

Some people have absolutely no idea how scary military dogs are. I know a lot of people who went to the army, they say that they wouldn't screw around with those dogs

dogs are essientally pack animals one dog alone wouldnt kill many people in a fight, if this werent true people wouldnt keep dogs as pets sure we can use weapons but who wants a pet that you need a weapon to subdue, grated some people would get badly hurt and some people would just not put up a fight but overall if an average sized male in decent shape is fighting full out against a german sheapord the man would win, no contest, he might need some sewing up after...

No one said that its was a trained military dog vs a random scrub off the street. Just an average dog vs an average person.

Compare that to a human equivalent though like a Navy SEAL and that dog gets slaughtered.

Anyway I think people said it pretty well. If it latches onto an arm or leg it already lost since you can just put it in a headlock with your other arm which it can't counter in any way since it lacks useful arms. The only way it can win is to jump at your neck, but humans are smart enough to protect that. Just have your arms in the way.

I think a decent sized male could win against nearly any dog (as long as it's to the death, and they know/accept that).
Idk about an average woman vs. A very large/threatening dog, though. Idk if it's sexist, but I just don't think most chicks would be strong enough to win...
