I spent a night in hospital under observation, had my arm in a sling for a week and it was infected as fuck. EDIT: It was also literally impossible to prise their jaws apart untill they "released" to gain a better grip on the other. I was practically helpless to stop them other then screaming and shouting, beating the fuck out of them and shoving my hand in their mouthes untill that point. This is one bite, when the dog was not even aimed at attacking me. My stomach and legs we're also scratched and heavily bruised. The dog, will win. No questions. Note: This dog did not mean to attack me, my sister still owns her to this day, we had to part with the 2nd dog as they would fight over food, who was "top dog" and the likes, but she has also gone to a very good home and is fine, both 100% lovely with children and people. The ONLY reason i was hurt is because i literally jumped into it and had my hand in their mouths trying to prise them apart, when it happened prior, one ended up with a hole in her head. That was not a good move though, best thing you can do is approach them from behind and wrap their nose in your hands so they can't breathe anymore and are forced to release.

What kind of a person are we talking about, anyway? A 400 pound MMA fighter might win, an average person would get destroyed by an average dog though. (But would the MMA fighter beat a highly trained killer dog?)

Well, it happened quickly and i didnt exactly get time to plan xD I just didnt want to see them ripping eachother apart, i dont regret what i did, rather my arm then a dead dog tbh, they fought 3 times and that was the last, the 2nd time was god awful because one of them was seriously fucked up. Didnt want to see one of my lil pups dead on the floor over some food lol. I only used that story as an example though really, they truely are strong beasts. German shepards are bigger, heaviler and stronger too.

Humans have more means of attacking. The dog can basically only bite, which is only lethat when he gets the humans throat.

I'd rather fight a dog with no weapons face to face than a human of equal abilities anyday ... Dogs are predictable, fast but predictable and they have 1 avenue of attack. You defend its first bite or allow it so you can choke them out and you'll win, you allow your throat to be exposed you die... A dog can bite with a force greater than 600lbs so it can dig right into your arm/body but that is it's one attack... Once you wrap your arms around its throat you win, and competent dog owner who owns big dogs knows this because if there dog ever attacks someone or the masters then you put it down yourself.

![]() alot of people here don't know very much about dogs Realised i should probably elaborate, they just don't feel pain the way me or you do. People say a boot to the head would beat a dog, well vs a male american bulldog all your doing is putting yourself off balance and giving him something to chew on. no way no how, they used to fight "bulldogs" in england (over 100 years ago by the way) verses a bull. Yes a BULL. Wiki link more than often the bull lost. that is one dog vs a 800lb+++ angry bull with pepper blown up its fracking nose. and you think a person can beat a dog? laughable and the dogs then weren't anywhere near the size they can get to now. Nelly, our american bull (we call her that cause she's like an elephant) could own any of you with or without a weapon (guns/swords obvoisly excluded)

In the common usage of the word, a parry is a deflection to modify the angle of attack so as to put the least amount of resistance to the attack while still being able to nullify it. A block is usually trying to the stop the force dead in its tracks. Fine I will re-word it, you don't block a kick, you deflect it at most. (conditions apply: you are a muay thai fighter with steel legs) Its pretty easy to dodge a kick, and you are implying a dog can't? Straw man? Where? I am aware of what a parry is, it is a type of block. When you parry a kick, you block the kick. Parry is a subset within block. Block does not mean stopping a force dead in its tracks. There are blocks that do that, but not all of them, as evidenced by a type of block known as the parry. This is all really simple. But even if we accept your incorrect definition for the word block, there are still instances where people block kicks by stopping them dead in their tracks. How can you not get this by now?
