Lol a german sheperd ? It's no contest at all. Seriously the human win hand down. No matter what happens, when a human is exposed to a way which determines his life or death, then the human would win easy and fast.
At worst you get bited so hard that you threw off a lot of blood but still the adrenaline that are within you will be able to make you stand enough to kill it before you get sleepy or dying.

I'm not saying that theres no chance a man wins. Of course a man can win. I'm talking average.

If poll should be decided by average then i don't see why people vote humans.

Since girls are practically autolose. And female dogs will be way stronger. That's more than 50% of the human population probably losing. Then you have male humans, of which most are untrained. I'm not even talking about a trained to kill dog, just 1 dog vs 1 human both with the purpose of killing each other in a big room.

If you put a human in a room with an angry dog and tell him hes not gettin out till that dog is dead then i can guarantee you than unless the guy is an idiot or severely out of shape (IE: NOT AVERAGE) that dog is gonna be dead.

For the sake of accuracy, I will present a specific situation for the poll.

You and a German Sheppard are put into a regular sized room and you must fight until one of you dies.

Are you a girl? 50% girl?

If you want to go all averages, then the average dog size is about 30 lbs with no special fighting features like an oversized or overmuscled jaw, which I think the average human can handle fairly well at about 4 times that weight.

The poll asks if you think "you" would win against a german shepard.

No, Im saying we're getting nowhere with the debate. I think its entirely possible for a human to kill a german shepard, but that some people make it seem like its easy. I think the odds can be almost 50/50.

I believe that I could take on the average German Shepherd. And for those saying that the average man is unfit and fat, I think you'll find the average German Shepherd has never fought for its life and is probably domesticated. A lot of girls would have trouble though. The weight advantage of a man is too much, humans are simply more damaging. Kicks, strangling, eye gouging, even falling on it, are more than it can deal with. You'd come out with some bad bites and if bitten it the wrong place would then bleed to death. But that wouldn't be much consolation for the dead dog.

"average" human would probably get owned. most of the people i know cant even do a decently powerful roundhouse kick without losing their balance to shit, so to answer the poll, the AVERAGE human male would probably get owned cuz they suck at fighting and have a pretty weak mindset.

however, with just a little bit of training in fighting (like maybe 3 months) it could totally be a different story. you are more prepared and a better fighter both physically and mentally.

i think it's a very close call. a lot really depends on the mentality. if the human thinks he can win, he probably will. if the dog comes running towards him and he turns his face away and just braces for impact, accepting defeat, he will get killed.
if he keeps a good powerful stance, lowers his bodyweight and looks at the dog running towards him and throws a good, well aimed punch, the momentum of the dog running towards him that suddenly meets a punch combines into a pretty shitty story for the dog.

to answer the guy who said "no time to take off shirt and wrap around arm", i'm not saying you have time and that this is a 100% foolproof guarantee to a win vs a dog, but if you find yourself in the shit, this is one of the most effective ways of killing a dog. most of my friends i know will not be able to do it cuz they suck at fighting, but this gives the best chance.
