When I was at Canada's National Gallery (most of the stuff is good), there was this section of like, filthy pictures of guys holding their dicks on web cam... and like a framed cyber-text conversation with people who type thing like "ur gay" and "suk me off" and stuff. I don't know how much it cost the museum, but it was pretty ridiculous. Sometimes art is valuable, just because a tonne of people will visit the museum to see why they paid so much money for some piece. They'll determine they still don't understand, but they'll see all the other art too, and not think ill of their visit. Still, it's always a bummer when some dumbass makes a tonne of money doing something you could have done way better (I could totally set up blocks in a perfectly straight line more interestingly than that guy! And my social commentary would be even more illusive and appealing to pseudo-intellectuals!). That said, I really like abstract art, which is almost equally retarded (and yet I can explain exactly why I like it, so I know I'm not a pseudo-intellectual ^^), so who knows. There's art as a business (hollow and almost vacant of any meaning), and there's art as art (which is usually the type you don't have to pay an exorbitant amount to enjoy) that will touch your soul. It's best to just ignore the ladder world and hope it goes away. | ||

obviously u guys are clueless about history of art and what has happened ect.. and besides the ppl buying this are obviously loaded, and they wouldn't of bought it if it wasnt a masterpiece so educate urselves u ignorant fucks | ||
