Didnt understand all of it since I dont have a Youtube account. Something about bad/insulting comments get way more thumbs up and are at the top of the comments section? Other problems as well. Can Somebody confirm this? He also temporarly deactivated comments for upcoming/recent videos. | ||

If you watch a video and see a comment you like, you pressed the "like" button next to the comment, and if that comment got a lot of "likes" it would be shown at the top of the comment section. Now they have changed the system. You no longer need a lot of "likes" to get top comment. Your comment can now also have a lot or replies to be top comment. Like if a guy writes "Yo totalshit, you are a whining shithead" that comment will not get a lot of likes (most likely) BUT, a lot of people can reply to that. So if that hateful comment gets lets say 50-100 replies telling him to STFU or get lost, it will also be shown as a top comment, meaning hateful comments gets more attention and are more visible. Spam, links to screamers, links to porn sites and other stuff can now also be linked much more efficiently. But that's just a small problem with the comment section, there is still the matter of the privacy problem etc. | ||
