I think if more asians are exposed to good american R&B they'd worship it. They can sing about cliched love triangles and have really cheesy lyrics but by god can they sing, and that's something 90% of chinese "R&B" singers can't do. like for example this song Yes it's awkward to listen to lyrics such as, baby, come to me, i'm on my knees, begging you to come back, etc, but the chorus and melody are just superb. Boyz II Men are probably the only r&b band in my gigantic library of music and I only have their later stuff which is more commercial, but my god, they can sing. | ||
