We do have unverified (but likely true) footage of missiles being shot down. At the time it was unclear where that footage was taken. It is being reported that the targets were military bases. The highest reported rate of interception by Israel is 96% of missiles used by Hamas in previous attacks (unrelated to October 7). With that in mind it's not reasonable to believe the 99% claim. There's no comparable precedent for such a high rate.

No point in carrying on with him. I just wanted a confirmed source.

I agree, Penthesilea isn't relying on credible sources. Quote: "We have several videos of missiles hitting the same area over and over, apparently the intended target. Which are Israeli military installations which we have not seen any damage images of." There's no verified footage of that, and he has refused to post the footage he saw, which could then be geolocated. I'm certainly not going to post what I found because none of it has a shred of credibility and it could've been taken just about anywhere at any other time. It's not exactly difficult to get footage of missiles landing somewhere in Israel in attacks from previous years.

If there are indeed little casualties, it is by design. Iran doesn't want to look like a fool and have all their missiles shot down by Israel. But Iran also doesn't want to kill dozens of Israeli, forcing Israel to look for retaliation against the retaliation they received. So far it seems the drones were shot down, but the missiles were not. And the drones are there to be shot down so the missiles get through. The US also wasn't able to shoot down the Iranian missiles and the US knew exactly when they were going to hit at which case, because Iran told them. And there were no drones involved in that attack. Iran is escalating to de-escalate. And Iran is showing to Israel that indeed they can bypass their air defense. The goal was not to destroy the Eilat air force base. That will happen if Israel decides to attack Iran once again. Not everything is a conspiracy theory. The "apparently" I alluded to was an NBC interview with some ambulance personell who hadn't heard of any causalities in Jerusalem as of the interview. That's not an official source, but if there had been missiles hitting all over the place, you know that wouldn't have been their response; in fact they'd likely be too busy to do the interview in the first place. The only videos I've seen of supposed missiles hitting anything is actually remnants falling to the ground after being shot down. Not that they can't be dangerous on their own, and start fires, but in terms of potential damage compared to live boms they are negligible. That's not to say there 100% haven't been any casualties, but the numbers would be incredibly low compared to what Iran set out to do with this attack. But if you want to continue this argument, all you have to do is post sources. Israel does not have a track record of lying about their own casualties. Nor do they have any reason to, as their casualties is their excuse for any retaliation they might do. The invasion of Gaza would have been a lot less accepted by the world if the Hamas terrorist attack didn't end up hurting anyone. Instead you have hundreds dead and a very good excuse to cause atrocities whilst hiding behind self defence.

Then shut my mouth. You supposedly have the means. If these videos exists, you could sit there and gloat about them while I hang my head in shame. So go ahead and share them please. We're all waiting edit: Yeah I'm not going to enable this ridiculously childish behaviour by continuing this pettiness. I've made my stance clear

The question now is if Israel will take the opportunity to escalate further or just launch a symbolic retaliation. Israel should obliviously respond to this escalation and target Iran proper. Wether they will or not, have to wait and see Some people think Israel should respond militarily, but I don't think so. I think Israel made a mistake with their embassy attack (they bombed a building next to the Iranian embassy in Syria and killed 7 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers), and should own up to it, to themselves if not publicly. Not only did that attack break international norms, it was unusual in the number of Iranian generals and advisors it killed, compared to the assassinations before.

Imo there's zero chance that he deescalates now, it's really up to Biden if he lets the US get dragged into this or not. Netanyahu may want to be aggressive, but I don't believe he wants war with Iran. So far Israel has avoided engaging Hezbollah, and waging other mult-front war of that type, because they wanted to focus on Gaza.

Have they not just pulled troops out of Khan Younis in order to focus on Hezbollah, I thought I read that like last week
