Its price has been reasonably flat all year, but it’s way off its 5 year high. Something special about its HR outsourcing service it’s releasing? Nothing new about the fundamentals of the company (that I know of at least). Earnings report comes out the 10th, that’s why I said it’ll be interesting. I’m feeling bullish as I feel this is a good entry point since this has short squeeze potential as well (Im aware HFs manage squeezes a lot better now). But I’m not expecting jackpot either. Idk I just like the stock.

Keep in mind SPCE moves up and down but also has ties with their sister company Virgin Orbit which can launch satellites. So their success moves SPCE as well. Also why I am not selling #VACQ hopefully soon to be $RKLB Edit: RIP to those that still hold $HOOD

But then you also have inflation, so I feel like cashing out right now isn't even worth it since your dollars are going to be worth less in the long run... Kinda weird spot once again. I just prefer to buy and hold at this point. Gotta get those avg's better right? I'd just hold tbh 1)not sure lockdowns will come back 2) not all states will accept lockdowns 3) will sp500 companies really lose profit over lockdowns? Edit: talking about sp500, not SPCE specifically. Don't know enough about the stock to evaluate particularly. 2020 march panick won't happen again.

That said, price increases are real. In my view they’re being driven by a combination of supply shortages due to Coronavirus (impacting automobile chips for example) and by cheap credit. The US economy is driven by credit and nominal price isn’t always the best way to measure price. The most clear example is probably house prices. Let’s say you’re paying $1000/month over 30 years at 4%. The nominal price of the house is $209k. If interest rates drop to 2% the same $1000/month payment would make the house $271k. The functional price of the house, $1000/month for 30 years, is unchanged but the nominal price has gone up 29%. But this applies to everything when credit is as pervasive as it is in the US. Low interest rates and high availability of credit push up nominal prices, even if supply and demand are unchanged. The $271k house is the same price as the $209k house.

Virgin Orbit has already had two successful satellite launches.

I like to think of it as a string or fuse tied to something (the price) that gets shorter until it hits expiry. The force required to move it into either direction towards another price is your loss/gain. Leverage used is the elasticity of the string? I'm not sure how to find an analogy for the price decay, but it's probably something like a half circle area around the end point. Lotto-y stuff.

I don't know a lot about how options work, but having read this I now somehow know less than I did before.
